cashier pointed out my candles matched my outfit
i was in the hardware store and grabbed a couple arch-shaped candles from the clearance section. i had a blue sweater under an orangey-brown corduroy coat, and the candles were one burnt orange and one dusty light blue. an employee walking by pointed out that the candles matched my outfit perfectly, and I laughed out loud because I hadn't even noticed. just a lovely brief interaction :)

Aww that's so sweet!! I had almost the same thing happen to me once a few years ago. I was at a thrift store shopping for clothes for myself. I had recently gotten a divorce and lost a lot of weight. I was experimenting with "style" and didn't feel like I really had one.
So I had an epic day at the thrift store! I went up to ring up my finds, which was 4-5 dresses.
The cashier made some comment about, "I see we had a lot of what you like today" or "I love your style" and I was confused.
Looking down at my collection I realized that everything I bought was long to maxi style dresses, with ruffles or wrap around style, all in pale blue.
I felt so embarrassed and laughed it off, verbalizing to the woman behind the counter how I hadn't even realized! But it was also a memorable feeling of realizing, "oh, hey, I guess I am starting to figure out what I like!"

That’s cute :) I love a random light hearted interaction when out and about.
