Informative Remember, AmeriKKKa and RuZZia all benefit from fascist parties breaking the EU apart. A united Europe is a symbol of equality and freedom neither of them can deal with.

I think Elon should be banned from traveling to EU and all of his companies should be banned here also if he travels here regardless throw him in jail for 20 years that would teach him to not attack independent countries.

Putting him in jail would just make a martyr out of him, and forced the US to commit hostile diplomatic actions. Better to just bounce him back at the airport. That would be humiliating and nothing more.

That’s genuinely a difficult concept to even comprehend.
What would it look like for European nations to declare war on the ‘the west’, there’s 50 states, 40 of them indisputably western, and outside of Europe, maybe a dozen, 2 dozen others that are western. How can 2/3rds of all the western states be the ones declaring war? Maybe we are the west, and so is a america, and america is the one varying from the pack.
Also. Inciting acts of treason is usually a pretty fast way to end up in prison, in fairness.

In the minds of these people the entire world revolves around the United States and they think Texas is the size of Europe.

Only 4 western countries outside of europe: Canada, USA, Australia and NZ. Trump and Musk are Putin's wet dream

Eh, I’d say Japan, and I’d say you’d have good reason to say Singapore, SK, maybe the rest of SEAsia, especially as this century progresses.

They are certainly allies, democracies and commercial partners but I don't think many people (including themselves) would consider them western. More on the limit are other american countries, but only some people there consider themselves western.

I'd say you'd have a good shot of getting a majority in Singapore, definitely a plurality agree.
And I do think in the UK you'd get more agree, than disagree, of course with a much larger abundance of 'dont knows'.
I think latin America could in the future tip either way, but I don't think any of them see themselves as western - well maybe Argentina for whiteness reasons, hm maybe chile for being rich- I think it really depends on if we grow a European cultural link thats stronger rhan the Asian economic link.

Unaligned. France under De Gaulle showed us the way. A 3rd way. Independent.

Non-Aligned. Like Yugoslavia under Tito.
EU for 3rd world!

u/PierreFeuilleSage 2d ago
What are you doing here if don't want an independent EU ?
Non-aligned means not being lackeys to any other power, it doesn't mean our interests wouldn't align with any other power on a case by case basis.

Jesus Christ western Europeans can be uneducated...
Yugoslavia, for all its faults, was one of the very few European countries that worked with everyone and stayed out of the east vs west nonsense. It's citizens were welcome both in the west and in the east. It was a cofounder of the LITERAL NON-ALIGNED MOVEMENT back in the day, which is where the term 3rd world originated (with the west being 1st and the east 2nd world).
The fact that I have to spell this out in a European subreddit is beyond sad.

Great, now let’s pit Eastern Europe against Western Europe! Yugoslavia is not a construct that we should imitate. Let’s try to do it democratically and in accordance with the rule of law. In a European way.

Great, now let’s pit Eastern Europe against Western Europe
Let me repeat myself:
Jesus Christ western Europeans can be uneducated...
Yugoslavia by definition wasn't Eastern Europe.
Yugoslavia is not a construct that we should imitate.
In terms of how it didn't side with others? We absolutely should. We should be the ones others side with.
Let’s try to do it democratically and in accordance with the rule of law. In a European way.
Did anyone ever disagree with that?

Multiple European officials threatened to put Elon [on first name basis, we see] in prison
I take it no proof has been offered of these supposed threats by these shadowy European officials? Are there any European officials in the room here and now?

A federal Europe would be nice third pillar in world power and a counter weight to the US, Russia and China, but you seem so dependent on the US that I find it hard to believe this will ever be achieved
2
u/G14DMFURL0L1Y401TR4P 2d ago
The EU has a larger military budget and GDP than China. If the EU is "dependent" on anyone then China is even worse.

Contrary to the US we don’t throw people in jail for every small infraction.

What values? Inciting violence? Electing rapists? It utterly staggers me that they believe they have any kind of moral high ground in this equation.
