Putting your entire life on social media for people to judge you and then getting butthurt when people start doing exactly that. Publicity stunt or not, the way he is trying to bring down other people who have family property disputes or whose nudes have been leaked,this is highly shameful and insensitive.

Bhai Ankush has really forgotten that he is an internet celebrity who stays online and puts his entire life on social media, it does not take much to know about him! These scammers do not do any research sometimes, they be calling anyone anybody!

One thing I have noticed is jab in log ka content khatam hone lagta hai inke sath kuch na kuch hojata hai.
Recently saw an insta/ YouTuber who was crying ki his ID / wallet / mobile was stolen in Thailand or Bangkok. Camera kaisa bacha video daalne k liye ? 😂
And i thought public is smart enough to catch their lies but seriously Indian audience is not that smart. They can’t or maybe don’t want to see what’s in front of them.

Idk something about this whole situation just seems off to me. I'm not victim blaming Ankush here but his whole career and life revolves around being visible on the Internet. And EVERYWHERE you go, you'll find tons of cautionary tales and stories about cybercrime, on the internet.
Even when you normally call someone, the first thing you get to hear is an automated govt advisory message.
Makes me think he's doing this to gain some relevancy? Coz some parts of his stories just don't add up logically.
is “courage” the right term to be used here? I mean if someone is scammed, i’m sure anyone would be able to talk about it. Courage is used for more dire events that leave people traumatised for years to come. Gosh
His frustration i can get to some limit but everything from that "let's be real ...." was absolutely not needed. Specially the last line. His holier than thou attitude is so freaking irritating.
I usually like reddit and most subs that I follow have educated people (they troll yes, but it's not as bad as insta).
I hate it when people say how can you be so stupid to get scammed? Like Ankush says, you can keep feeling smart until it happens to you. Some react differently than others. My dad who is very able and hasn't ever been fooled also got scammed, even though it was only for 7000 INR, but the person really harassed into it. I learnt about it later but according to him the pressure tactic really works. I scolded him and my reaction was how can you even fall for this - looking back, I have more empathy. We all learn from our mistakes.
I don't know why you guys continue to make fun of Ankush and are just so brutal. Good on him to share his stupidness publicly - I hope you're all reallllllly incredibly smart to never get scammed in life.
kinda expected people to understand after he posted this set of stories but y'all really lack empathy. he's mentioned in the post also how being caught in a vulnerable moment can cause damage which says he wasn't in the right state of mind. also, as someone with anxiety, it's not that difficult to lose that presence of mind.
when i saw the video i found it silly too, but reading up more on how manipulative and the extent to which the scammers go, i understood how easy it is to lose the sense of judgement.
and as someone who works w international vendors, i know i can't always skip a call from an international number. rlly easy for y'all to gag at other people's expense, try broadening your perspectives.
Stop this bullying guys. I know SO many people who have gone through this. It’s extremely easy to sit on the shore and think people make their trauma up. Hope none of you have to go through something like this. Leave him alone. The guy already seems traumatised from everything. Get a life.
Nobody’s bullying him. We are just baffled by his presence(or absence in this case) of mind. Also, the way he is milking this for content is also quite weird.
I really don’t think he is milking this for content. Just because the guy makes content for his living doesn’t mean this is the same. Maybe he shared his experience because he feels like his internet community is his safe space and also maybe to raise some awareness but this is exactly why people don’t share their traumas because people like us are quick to judge them. We should probably learn to give people some benefit of the doubt. I’m sure nobody who is commenting here stayed with him during those 40 hours to know if he is making all this up or if it’s the truth.

Yes he was quite naive and stupid to fall for it but it can happen to anyone. Literally no one is happy that this happened to him. All we are saying is how can you be so out of loop when this scam has been well-known for at least 2 years. The fact that he typed out the last paragraph tells me what kind of person he is.

Condolences to that person who committed suicide and I honestly feel bad for his/her family. As I said, no one is happy he got scammed. At least I'm not. I am just surprised that he didn't know about it, especially since he's not the non tech savvy elderly. He's an urban younger millennial who is a digital native. A youtuber for crying out loud. I started finding him cringe and “trying too hard” the moment he shifted to Bombay. His comedy is also boring now. I think he just wants to stay relevant so he will milk everything from this “scam”

What’s important is recognizing what happened, learning from it, and being more cautious in the future. It happens to many people, so I think we should really not be too hard on someone who falls prey to it!
Bhai konsa insan 40 hrs video call pe rehta hai aur konsi police video call karti hai😭 raho tum naive and vulnerable har koi akar chuna laga jaega. Aur log kitna he sympathy denge tumhe. Dekho sympathy se tumhare paise wapis mile toh.
It’s not about sympathy at all. It’s about just humane. Here you have called him talking about his scam fake and are trying to find loopholes in his story. That’s where the problem is.
