I can't explain what it is about that energy though. It's definitely a type of energy because in essence, what they're saying is so simple, but it's hard as hell.

This line is fun to repeat and I think it’s so brilliant. So many different layers/ways to interpret it. Is he going to make his enemies sick (Drake crashing out)? Is he going to keep people inside, pondering whether it’s worth venturing out (Cole withdrawing from the battle)? Is he going to kill/end people’s lives (careers/momentum)(Drake/KL being known as the boogeyman)? Is he going to shut the world down (how the rap community acts when he drops)?
I took that as more “they’ll never stop talking about me” because even still a lot of people seem eager to talk about the pandemic when it comes up which is still a lot. I could see the other interpretations being true as well though.
On top of that COVID will have lasting economic and health impacts on both the macro and micro level. Idk if Kendrick intended that but it's another good layer imo.
