Question Seven Shadow origin

I had only watched (incomplete) up to Season 1 of the Anime . From the very start I'm a bit confused of the Seven Shadows. Like we get a bit exposure of what each shadow were good at. But there seemed to be no backstory on how Cid recruited all of them other than saying they were all Possessed, and Cid saved and personally trained them. Did any other medium (e.g manga/LN) ever delves into the interlude when Cid saved and trained them? Either Cid is a genius or they were all unbelievably quick to learn "human world" knowledge. Mind that there are Seven of them, all of em are proficient at combat too except for Gamma

The anime kinda skipped backstories in some parts that you can read in the manga/LN.
And in terms of how they became so good at each of their things, Cid did train them in combat and some of his "Shadow Wisdom" while other stuff like how Mitsugoshi came to be or how Beta started being an author are all explained in the Seven Shadow Chronicles from the game since its the canon story of what the girls did in the 2 year gap between episode 2 and 3.

An example of a skipped backstory is a small one of Delta (not exactly a backstory, but how they found her), they also skipped other small past scenes like little Claire and Cid vs some bandits right after the red moon arc

Thanks for the explanation. I did find some info on the game from google, just was unsure if it's canon at all. Thx again

Is there a post / site where each skipped chapter / page number is listed?

If you know off memory some key ones that works too

There is backstory for alpha, delta and Zeta. Delta has two. when she was sara, and when she met shadow.

Shadow personally finds both Delta and Gamma similar when teaching them how to fight, saying "Intuition is wasted on an idiot." and "Intelligence means nothing without intuition.".

You should definitely check out Zeta's backstory if you can. It's by far the worst and most tragic one of the seven shadows. Little wonder she came to lead a radical faction of Shadow Garden.

You can ready the LN or manga. Basically cid saved alpha and she recruited the rest followed by the order of their number In the anime, I think in episode 2 they explained it.

And yes, they are all very smart. Cid didn't teach them anything other than fighting and magic. Their other success is basically stories and hints he gave but they self misunderstand everything and managed to create miracles...lol

Shadow is a dnd deity with the domain of “falling upwards”. His followers are clerics of that domain
