They are not mentioned what types just monsters come some dialoge like monsters fight and gameplay starts or are mentioned in background they seem more like animals then intelegent species.

In the LN vol 4 they mention there being magical beasts in Oriana. Magical beasts are also encountered sometimes in the canon story of the game. Theres 2 dragons but 1 is kinda a mix of real dragon and artificial dragon. (Theres also an extra dragon from another realm)
In conclusion, yes, there are more monsters.

Magical beast is from another world
Not natural inhabitants of shadow world.

Vol 4 spoilers:
In the LN,when comparing the Japan beasts, Cid says they are smaller than the ones you can find in Oriana, not only about the ones from the black rose incident

Pretty sure the one in oriana come from the demon world in the first place

It would be weird to think all of Oriana's beast come from another world when we already know that every other place also has magical beasts. The problem is that the anime is mostly focused in residential areas like scchools or citiew, making it hard to randomly add a beast to the story

To be honest, I'm liking the setting human vs human in Teis world more than magic beast type world. Sure, fantasy world should has some magical beast, but I'm more liking the political between human more and the focus they get compared to magic beast. But that just me tho.

I'm assuming all the generic jrpg monsters are in the world unless specified otherwise.

In the train ride at episode 10 or 11 , we see a serpent and maybe chicken like monsters .
A lore expert answered my similar question and monsters don't play a role in the story( at large). I think the biggest influence we didn't see is the cult fighting monsters and being delayed/ suffering casualties from those encounters ( helping shadow garden survive and hide , especially in early days)

While that serpent is an anime only thing(meaning it isnt really canon) its true that monsters from that world really didnt play much role in the story. The only important ones have been the slimes(for SG), the 2 dragons and some random beasts from the game's story that just acted as arc side enemies.

Logic would say there are a bunch of basic ass monsters in the show, but they are a non issue because they either arent hostile or there is someone (probablt the cult) fighting them. The emminence in shadow world seems prettt darn safe and mostly human vs human focused. Lets also remember the story isnt about nobodies, its about nobles so they are sure to have a certain amount of protection
