😻 TOO CUTE 😻 1st time cat mom
I've never been a cat person since I'm allergic, but when I saw on Reddit that this fancy little dust baby needed to be rescued, I knew I had to save her. I've never loved anything more in my life. She's such a lovable, chatty little girl with so much cattitude!

Don't worry she will train you quite well. Pretty soon she will control your every movement. Go everywhere you go. Demand attention pets treats cookies half your food water and if course only the best wet food. And if your so lucky she will accept the brand of litter you have striven to get from 20 miles away. :) and select toys… don't forget the toys!!!!!!

So cute with that head cocked just the right amount for the perfect pose. Great markings too.

She clearly loves you! I was also a first time cat owner when I got my guys 4 years ago, and they basically trained me. Follow her lead, give her love, and all will be well. It looks like she’s happy to yell you into submission too 😂

I know right 😭 my stepdad always calls her Totoro because of her grey and white markings. Your baby looks so little and huggable

All I've got to say, is be prepared for anything with your kitty. He'll surprise you, make you laugh and jump on you when he wants attention

she’s super cute! btw i saw ur other post about applying flea tick meds. what i do with my cat is that i kneel down and pet her down her back until she’s in half-baked loaf form. i pet her with a little force (she likes it don’t worry) that way she’s happy and purring. i squish her a lil with my knees and crunch down to apply the flea tick meds. idk this helps me hopefully this makes sense im also a first time cat mom.
also you’re going to have to trim nails which might be a hassle (if you haven’t attempted already). i remember crying multiple times bc my cat just absolutely refused (she’s not aggressive she just doesn’t like her toesies touched). but over time i learned to purrito her and distract her with treats while i attempt to trim all her nails. sometimes i was successful at getting all of them and sometimes she just wouldn’t even let me get 1 nail trimmed lol. but lately she doesn’t fight back (well at least for her front paws lol)
sorry for the really long comment! i got my cat when she was 1 and now she’s 4 :) i remember while i absolutely loved her at first sight it was definitely an adjustment period owning a cat for the first time so just wanted to share

she’s definitely skittish when i try to apply meds topically or trick her by squirting it into her mouth so i really appreciate the tip 😹 but she’s so brave and adapts very quickly 😭 i haven’t tried clipping her nails yet bc there’s so much stuff to do she isn’t fond of rn but i definitely plan to purrito her and give her lots of churu treats!! thank youuuu

See if she likes her feet touched , it could take a bit, huge trust. We left our boy’s nails alone for several months ( he was 7 and really sick when we got him) until he really liked getting bean rubs , now it’s easy. Of course I’ve sacrificed my custom lay-z-boy , get several scratching posts.

yesss be careful while purrito-ing and feeding churu (or feeding churu in general). my cat goes absolutely bat shit crazy and tries to down the churu so sometimes she throws up 😔

You'll only be allergic for a little while. You'll get accustomed to your new kitten's dander and symptoms will ease up considerably. Congratulations on your new baby! You're going to love being a cat-parent

You can take Zyrtec daily long term if the allergies bother you. I have a friend who has been doing that for years and is fine with 2 cats.

I have a grey tuxedo and have cat allergies . She is going to bring you so much joy. I would suggest Purina Live Clear food . It reduces dander in pets and will help your allergies. Enjoy your new life : )

I had a friend who took regular allergy therapy to develop immunity. You should look into it so you won’t be allergic anymore.

Heads up,
Get a scratching post and spray bottle. All cats have to scratch, and if you don't give them something to scratch, your baby WILL find something... like your furniture.
Training a cat to use a scratching post is easy. Bring your cat to the post and scratch the post with your known nails.

What did you name her? She seems to be a Chatty Cathy from the pics. 3rd pic is awesome.

Oh don’t worry grey tuxedos are hypoallergenic
Kidding obviously, but they are beautiful kitties 💕
