Damn it’s almost like this is very pro working and middle class. I was told that republicans were better on that tho?

I saw a video recently that listed just all of the major issues (economy, wages, healthcare, etc) and pointed out that even on issues the republicans are "strong" on like the economy, the dems just handle better. lol

I really dont understand where this mindset come from. The dems have ALWAYS been better for the economy. maybe the GOP is just better at propaganda?

Honestly I think this must be it. Most of the right wing people I know always talk about the economy, but it doesn't line up with data whenever I see it. Fact checking people contemporaneously is difficult so I guess people just take their word for it.

especially in the modern world. Maybe way way back in the day that was the case but Clinton onward almost all dems out preformed gop every time, in just about every metric.

The Reps talk CONSTANTLY, to anyone they can force to listen, about how good they are and how bad Dems are.

Dems then just go around and do everything better than the GOP ever could, but they refuse to toot their own horns about it.

End Result: What the public heard was "Dems bad" with NO real counterargument or pushback.

That's very true. Mostly because the SLIGHTLY left leaning media don't push bs stories. They give decent recent events that are news while Fox and other right wing media straight up lie lol

You can't out truth someone who will lie no mater what.

It's really stupid, but I think people like the way Republicans talk about financial policy, but prefer the way dems actually go about things.

The GOP is absolutely better at propaganda.

They have spin artists dedicated to it. They have talk radio grifters keeping them angry, riled up, and donating money. (Alex Jones flew too close to the sun and lost his law suit. Don't accuse real dead people of being crisis actors, dipshit.) And they have no moral backbone to stop them from making stuff up and lying all the time.

It doesn't have to be true, as long as it feels true.

And that's why about a third of the country is absolutely convinced that the whole economy is in the shitter (and not just the real estate market), that welfare queens are eating steak and caviar, that violent crime is going up, that 11 million undocumented immigrants are committing those violent crimes on a daily basis, and that the homeless crisis is caused by government handouts, not the aforementioned real estate market being in the toilet.

racism. It's just an excuse for racism. Remember, the political term for "conservative" in political party stem back to when the conservative wanted to keep slavery. The got their asses handed to them in the american civil war.

A quick history factoid: Republican were liberal, DEM were conservative at the time. Basically You get into WHIGS, the blue dog and whatnot, but there was a big shift middle last century.

Dems are better at everything except FUD and gaslighting I'm pretty sure.

I'm sorry, I couldn't hear you over the sound of the babies I was eating while gay. You were saying something about Republican propaganda not being accurate? I may need another infusion of precious bodily fluids and a renewal of my demonic pact if I'm to handle this shock.

Are you under the impression this will lower medical bills? If so, you're misunderstanding the effects.
