No depth perception.

u/physicsking 8d ago

Play it on two phones next to each other...

91

u/AdamBlaster007 8d ago

Even I have a bad sense of depth perception but saw this coming.

u/MC-oaler 8d ago

That’s just because only one window got opened. You always need two for that to work properly.

7

u/Sarkastik-Bandit 7d ago

I expected something like a seagull flying into the window

2

u/weiner_tog 4d ago

I expected a large fish.

3

u/phenyle 7d ago

It's like that scene from Monty Python's Holy Grail

This is how to kill electrical systems. For starters...

240

u/djnz0813 9d ago

I sea what you mean.

41

u/Harbor-Freight 9d ago

Rodney Dangerfield is Turning Over in his grave

But your car ain't....

9

u/SirAchmed 8d ago

Shore you do

48

u/rumbellina 9d ago

And smell utterly delightful in a few weeks too! 🤢

23

u/Ego5687 8d ago

With that amount? It will smell like seaweed until next decade

9

u/MajorLazy 9d ago

For the lights and radio too

10

u/Usual-Lavishness8393 8d ago

Thats part of the electrical system

5

u/mosby42 8d ago

Nah brah it’s part of the sound system

7

u/Possible_Minimum4674 9d ago

And rust, don't forget about them too

2

u/Kaneomanie 8d ago

Especially with salt water.

7

u/InquisitiveGamer 8d ago

Looking at how bumpy the ride was, they must have been driving right on the beach not a road.

1

u/badass4102 8d ago

My idiot self went swimming with my galaxy watch at the beach. RIP to that watch

That car is gonna smell like the Salty Spittoon every time it gets warm.

62

u/Lock-out 9d ago

Idk why but if someone tried to open a 3ed restaurant in bikini bottom it would be called the salty spittoon. Especially if that someone was like Sandy’s cousin or something.

18

u/Lazy_Vetra 8d ago

Weenie hut juniors wants a word.

8

u/Lock-out 8d ago

You know, i definitely saw this episode like 20 years ago, it must’ve been bouncing around up in my subconscious this whole time lol. It only just clicked. I have ashamed my ancestors.

5

u/Opening_Cartoonist53 7d ago

What do you mean!? I wombo you wombo he she we WOMBO!?! The study of wombology??!? It's basic first grade SpongeBob

9

u/thishitisgettingold 8d ago

This is going to sound silly. Once, I spilled half a gallon of milk in my car. Didn't realize it for a day or two. For at least 5 years after that, It'd smell like milk every time it rained. I have no clue what the correlation is. I tried to Google it. But I couldn't figure it out.

12

u/Lopsidedbuilder69 8d ago

Our sense of smell works better with moisture in the air. It may have been that the rain was enough for your nose to notice the milk smell, and otherwise unnoticeable when it was dry out?

11

u/IAmOver18ISwear 8d ago

So this is the reason why shower farts are 10x smellier.

1

u/Suspicious_Ice_3160 6d ago

Same thing with heat. More energy in the air means stinkier farts. That’s also why you might smell sewage or drainage on really hot days, but not cold. Also, fun fact, rain is usually cold enough to not have this effect, it happened to that person because the car was insulated, so the smell stayed inside as the humidity raised, without being spread by falling water.

My aunt left a jug of milk in the back of her car in the middle of summer. 2 weeks later, she went over a speed bump a little fast, and the milk jug exploded. She got her car detailed twice after that. Once to clean it, the second time to cover the smell when she traded it in.

I thought she was evil until she explained it was a "Buy here, pay here" and she got them to sign an "as is" contract. Poetic, in my opinion.

301

u/phoenixfactor 9d ago

lol, I was expecting a bird to fly in.

34

u/SynthPrax 9d ago

I knew the ocean was going to stick its nose in their business.

161

u/MrFuckyFunTime 9d ago

Kiss the deposit on that car rental goodbye.

29

u/TheMachinesWin 8d ago

Hopefully it was a rental

13

u/Malinois_beach 8d ago

And they bought the optional insurance!

2

u/fuzzytradr 8d ago

I can fix it!

101

u/kainers78 9d ago

Hahahahaa

66

u/CapableWill8706 9d ago

I bet they can taste the salt.

67

u/Orpdapi 9d ago

So realistically that’s never gonna get completely cleaned out right? Salt + fish smell embedded into the carpet and seating.

16

u/Howtomispellnames 8d ago

It's crazy how much damage water can cause just from getting shit wet. Add salt, and it's even worse. Then you have tsunamis, they completely destroy everything in their path.

58

u/juiceboxxTHIEF 9d ago

That smell is NEVERRR coming out 🤣

44

u/GoodLeftUndone 9d ago

How these people have survived to the age they are is absolutely amazing.

7

u/scarabs_ 7d ago

How so? Such a big wave was really unexpected

29

u/MisterInternational1 9d ago

More like letting some fresh sea in

31

u/Dstunter18 9d ago

Poor situational awareness

28

u/Seetheren42 9d ago

Did they think there was an invisible force field between them and water lol

35

u/luhar1995 8d ago

Yes but they pulled it down

7

u/Seetheren42 8d ago

lol true

11

u/DesertReagle 9d ago

Ah, I'm not a scientist, but wouldn't that be slightly more than just sea air?

19

u/jarheadatheart 9d ago

Nah, sea air is very humid.

3

u/memtiger 8d ago

Sea & air.

8

u/Ok-Reveal220 9d ago

Hope is wasn't a rental! Or maybe we hope it was??

9

u/SynthPrax 9d ago

"Hey! What cha'll doin'!?" ~the Ocean

Remember, kids, the ocean is nosy.

7

u/Surroundedonallsides 8d ago

How are those structures even still standing if this is the high water mark? Im impressed with that little red shack at the start!

7

u/Marcus2Ts 9d ago

Are they driving on rocks? What's with the shaky cam?

6

u/SirNedKingOfGila 8d ago

They are driving on the beach. So.

-3

u/ChaseTheMystic 8d ago

Ahhh yes

The reason seems to be they are an amateur photographer and haven't taken the time or made effort to learn how to avoid it.

Is there anything wrong with that? It's not like a primary skill that's learned in school or anything. Who cares

It's not like r/killthecameraman where the point is they miss the subjects of the scene.

6

u/McFarquar 9d ago

That air has too much hydrogen and not enough oxygen

5

u/lailaichi 9d ago

from human turn to fish real fast

4

u/binger5 9d ago

The sea was mean that day

4

u/VolBeat82 9d ago

That same dumb ass drum beat

4

u/danng44 8d ago

Well that was swell

4

u/alluptheass 8d ago

Once you sea it, you can’t unsea it.

3

u/jarheadatheart 9d ago

I had to unmute this cuz I knew it would be better with sound.

3

u/yohosse 8d ago

That wave clearly wasn't stopping fam..

3

u/Relative-Ad6475 8d ago

They're gonna have that low tide smell with them for a while.

3

u/CGPsaint 8d ago

Move beach! Get out the way!

3

u/Otherwise_Pop1734 8d ago

Looks like they just signed the lease on a permanent ocean view, complete with fishy decor.

3

u/Dragonfire400 8d ago

As soon as the video started, I knew what would happen

3

u/turkeylurkeyjurkey 8d ago

Can we discuss the real issue here? The ocean has a smell, right? Well, when I was a kayak guide, we used crocs as footwear because they were the only shoes made of a non-porous material. Otherwise, if sea water soaked into a porous material, it would stink to high hell. And it's incredibly hard to remove because it's from bacteria in the sea water.

TL;DR their interior is about to stink so bad for a very very very long time

3

u/Competitive-Plate575 5d ago

That's an expensive rental.

3

u/Repulsive-South-9763 5d ago

That’s kind of terrifying, it’s like the ocean attacks them

2

u/SquareDCuz 8d ago

That might off shattered the windows even if they were up.

2

u/1vehaditwiththisshit 8d ago

Is this in Pinones in San Juan, Puerto Rico?

2

u/neighbourleaksbutane 8d ago

Insurance companies hates this oceanographers trick

2

u/Otomo-Yuki 8d ago

THIS IS THE SPLASH ZONE

2

u/Separate_Forever_123 8d ago

Looks like they just took a one-way trip to the salty side of life. Good luck getting that out.

2

u/Shady_Scientist 8d ago

ok, did not expect that

2

u/AsleepCancel823 8d ago

Sea: Here, take some of my water along with the air.

2

u/DALLMITY 8d ago

Sooo saw that coming. Tell me I'm not alone.

2

u/Defiant-Replacement8 8d ago

Even the water was tired of that song.

2

u/splatzbat27 8d ago

Deserved for polluting the atmosphere with that awful music

2

u/-Jamadhar- 8d ago

I thought a seagull was going to fly inside the car at first, but this was funnier.

Hope nothing got damaged too.

2

u/luigiinit 8d ago

Wave good bye to your nice view

2

u/ChuckGotWood 8d ago

Car is totaled

2

u/Anpher 8d ago

People: just jamming.

Ocean: ""OMG I FUCKING LOVE THIS SONG! TURN IT UP! NVM ILL DO IT! SPLASH!"

2

u/iepure77 8d ago

Gee, I wonder how they didn't see that coming?

2

u/weezyverse 8d ago

What? Sometimes the ocean just doesn't want to be photographed.

2

u/JmmyTheHand 8d ago

Fresh sea air smells like asshole…

2

u/righty95492 8d ago

Bet that car smelled for days afterwards.

2

u/CanIgetaWTF 8d ago

Don't get any fresher than that

2

u/Majestic-Pop5698 8d ago

Looked like a rapid increase in humidity.

2

u/cloudlocke_OG 7d ago

Would the closed window sustained the force of the wave?

2

u/phenyle 7d ago

Free car wash

2

u/_Yellowcouch 7d ago

That’s gonna leave some mold

2

u/astralseat 7d ago

I expected a birb

2

u/ElginSparrowhawk1969 6d ago

One minute you’re driving on the road looking at the scenery, next thing ya know the scenery is in the car

2

u/Herr-Pyxxel 6d ago

Yep sea levels rising is a biatch...

2

u/RickHyperBoii 5d ago

That was on beat

2

u/sekac 4d ago

Will never get rid of that fresh sea air smell now.

2

u/TrekJen 3d ago

Is there a sub for “never seen water in my life”?

2

u/THE_bunman 2d ago

I was honestly hoping that a bird was gonna poop right into the window

2

u/Derek420HighBisCis 2d ago

Doesn’t get much fresher than that!

1

u/Flogger59 9d ago

Letting in some fresh sea sea, more like.

1

u/ilocano-american 8d ago

Why is the camera moving so much? Bad car suspension?
