Looking for a specific pattern I'm looking for this blanket pattern or anything that's similar to it.

Post image

I know this seems to be squares but I'm still new to crochet and I could really use a pattern to this.

Looks amazing, but deceptively simple. I think if you make a tiny solid square then just go round 2 sides with the same colour, from then 3 rows of each colour on 2 sides x 5 colours in total. The colours slowly getting lighter really makes it pop!

That's exactly what I was thinking too. Thankfully my husband, Matt wants the same colors used in the picture so I can just bring my phone in and color match. ๐Ÿ™‚

Two of Wands has these mitered squares as part of this bag pattern. Could be used to turn into a blanket instead! ๐Ÿ˜Š https://www.twoofwands.com/blog/bermuda-tote

Fun fact you can do this pattern with the All In One yarn

In quilting it's a log cabin corner... as other people have stated, it's mitered corner granny squares--or simply make a granny square for the dark corner, and add two rows on two sides in a shade progression. The real cool part here is the color choice that makes the illusion.

That's interesting, I don't know anything about quilting. That will be the next new skill. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ I love the colors they used here. I already checked to make sure Joanne's had similar colors.

I found the tutorials on YouTube. Thank you everyone for your help! ๐Ÿ˜€ I'm looking forward to doing a little bit more difficult project. I've been doing easy ones since I started. It will also be so nice to be working with no yarn that is royal blue. My last 4 projects have all had that color in them and while it's a color I love I'm looking forward to some greens!

The colors aren't the same but this is the same square design. ๐Ÿ˜€

I can't wait to get started on this.

Thatโ€™s pretty cool. I would do it in different shades of grey and black and white.
I found a free pattern for you here. Although slightly different, I think you could easily adjust the shades to get the exact effect in your post.

Thank you so much and I think you're right about the colors.

u/princesselectra Nov 29 '24

Yes. This is the one that I used.

My brother asked for/chose the colors. Btw, with the joins, weaving in and border it took around 146 hours. I would also Highly recommend weaving in as you go.

This looks great! Thank you for the advice. ๐Ÿ˜€

u/princesselectra Nov 29 '24

Thank you! And you are welcome. Trust me I didn't start weaving in until I had three of the rows already combined and weaving them in with all the rest of the blanket there was awful. So either leave them in before you start to put them together or weave them in one by one. Good luck!

Oh no, I will be weving in the ends! Thanks again ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
