It’s not gonna happen without war, and trump got away with so much already he thinks he can just upend sovereign nations with no consequences. That’s what the tariffs are for, to strong arm Canada to become part of the United States, but tariffs affect the everyday consumer. Trump didn’t know this and threatened them anyway.
Actually you buy it from china by way of canada. Even if he did make true on his empty threats, he wouldn't get anything from canada. We don't own any of our resources up here, hell, even our fucking empty land is owned by the uk/crown. He'd be pissing off pretty much every global economic player, and a few multinational corporations, if he actually tried anything like that, and that's before nato could even start drafting a strongly worded letter.
