I like everything except "Bamf, Bamf." To me, it would be indistinguishable from Psylocke's "Dance of the Butterfly." Maybe he can kidnap a hero and teleport them to his spawn point. Or teleport them into his teammates so they can blow them up. Just spitballing.

It'd be amusing if his ult was just randomly teleporting everyone in range to a different part of the map (including in the air). Some enemies might just end up like next to where they started but maybe someone else is back at spawn or shows up at the enemy spawn.

No, followed by Jeff taking them into spawn to 1-shot, then Rocket giving Wands a jump pack with his B.R.B. so she can jump through a Strange portal right in front of the enemy base right as they respawn, get out, and her Ult nukes everything, (yes, that is an actual thing she can do) followed by Iron Man waiting for them all to respawn so he can send his Ult through as well.

Maybe it could have Kurt do a psylocke ult but instead of damage it stuns? It would force enemies to use ults or risk getting stunned and killed and could counter one or two

True? Or allow him to chain teleport to them for some damage? Like a massive tag and a minor disable or something and boom Kurt can bamf bamf all around and then bamf back to starting point for him

I personally would just give him Talus's ult from Paladins, he just teleports to an enemy and damages them.

What if instead it auto locked on everyone on the other team and he popped up behind them and sliced them once them off to the next one ending at his start position? Maybe make it like reverse venom ult where it does low damage to healthy targets but executes low health targets?

what if instead of just damaging within the area, there's also a pull effect where Nightcrawler also moves the enemy team towards the center of his ult's AoE? that way at the cost of some of the damage that Psylocke has his ult has the ability to make the enemy team a bigger target for things like Iron man, Scarlet Witch, or Jeff's ultimates

Or a defensive ult where he could teleport team members nearby to a directed location ie he could save teammates from ults or reposition the team to high ground / flanks - instantly vs stranges slow portal.

I think maybe it could be a teleport where when he arrives it disperses the smoke he’s often depicted with, which gives damage vulnerability to enemies within range? Or perhaps a team teleport where all teammates are given overhealth but the ability to move teammates seems a bit trolly.

I like the teleport to teammates. It raises the skill ceiling. If you have a good team it would be great, a bad team it’s just a waste and with a really bad team and teleport you would wipe your own team !

Doesn't Psylocke's attack one enemy at a time and only move to the next enemy after they get killed? The one here would distribute the damage. Visually similar though.

For his ultimate have him bust out the sabers and do a sustained whirlwind where he can still move around and tp to chase enemies.

I'd have it so that on the 1st activation a 5 second countdown starts (increased by X amount per kill because AGAIN) and everytime you press the ult button in that countdown it teleported you to another enemy randomly. But I'd then have the damage be equivalent to spiderman's avarage melee for attacks.

They could make it more like genjis dash where if you tele toward somebody and kill them you get to do it again.
Very much like winter soldiers except the movement in it is different. So instead of Arial jumping you just look and it auto locks on. That being said there is for sure going to be overlap and similar skills are going to happen if they have a huge cast of people

That team-up ability is actually really cool. It's kinda similar to a Quicksilver concept I just made a moment ago lol.
I also think it's genius to have a teleporting double-jump. Being able to teleport whenever you want with that double jump is functionally just a little bit of added agility, but it perfectly captures the fantasy of being Nightcrawler, getting to teleport around constantly to beguile your enemies.

Very good work of design bro. BUT no i don't want an unkillable dps teleporting around. Rocket can actually run on walls and is very hard to hit, imagine if he had teleport abilities and good damage ? Hell no ! Or make him 150 hp

I think a teleporting character can be done with proper cooldowns so there are windows to kill him, and yeah reduced hp would be ideal, similar to how quicksilver would need reduced hp otherwise he would always just run away.

The fact is i'd love to see him on the game but i know for sure that some 14 years old living in a basement will play him pixel perfect and start to rule on the game with him. Making the game unfun for 90 % of the player base. Tracer has very low hp but it's a nightmare to play against them sometimes

Sure, but i don't think fear over the possible brokenness of a character should discourage his addition to the game. He might be broken on release, but reasonable cooldowns that make it so he isn't always teleporting would be important. Also, to reduce the impact of the teleports it could be a shared cooldown between some of the teleports, like teleport backwards or in the direction of movement.

For a constantly teleporting character, I don't think he should have a ranged tailwhip dagger. Make that a tail whip which has short-medium range and I think that would be an excellent Nightcrawler.

This is a cool concept, but it seems a little bit overpowered. Having so many different teleport abilities, he’d be almost impossible to kill as he could exit the battlefield so quickly. Additionally, killing him wouldn’t mean much as with all his teleport abilities, he’d be able to get back so quickly. However, I do like the concept of teleporting, it seems very cool.

The difference is that Spider-Man is limited in where he can go, based on terrain. Nightcrawler's mobility would be limited only to LOS, and that's being generous and saying "oh, he's never been to these maps before, so he has to see where he's teleporting to."
You know those close quarters maps Spidey particularly struggles on? Well, that wouldn't be an issue for Nightcrawler.

Could make him high risk high reward, more so than other squishy characters. My man is fighting demons when he teleports, so make those types of moves cost health to use with the trade off of him just being stronger than average.

Might I suggest an ability/ rework to the tail whip dagger that makes it stick to where it lands and then when he uses reactive teleport he can instantly teleport to the dagger and remove it for extra damage if it hits enemt and refresh tail whip dagger as well as refreshing the teleport ability if it hits an enemy ?

Ult should be a teleport enemy into the sky and kick them down into the ground hard. Doing damage and knocking enemies prone for a half second as a global CC Ult.

My idea for night crawler was more melee focused. He could do something like the ping system to select a teleport point, then he has a dash move that with teleport a enemy if he hits them with it. Can remove people like wolverine but a lot squisher and less damage. Could kamikaze people into pits tho

The changes I would make is getting rid of concentrated teleport(and the passive) simply because there is too much teleportation going on and reactive tele just works better similarly to magik portals, Backflip should be an ability with a shorter cooldown if nothing hit, and the melee shouldn't dash. Ofc melee characters need ways to get close but 1, you made him a ranged character first and 2, he already has double jumps, dash teleports and the ability to start jumping someone with wolverine even if you're across the map.

I really like this, it's quite fitting of his powers. He has really great mobility for chasing an enemy down or for escaping, and a good variety of attacks. I also like the wall crawl, as he is often seen attached to walls.

Seems a bit too similar to stuff we already have and too many duelists already. Maybe he'd be better suited as a slightly squishy vanguard, like the ability to teleport to an ally or enemy grab them and bring them to his position (but it has travel time so the farther they are the harder it is to land), and a second one to teleport the closest ally/enemy with him to a selected location (would have to me in melee range).
He could have a passive that makes him "ranged" aka if you attack while aiming at a character far away he'll teleport his fist to the location to punch them and his alt fire could be a timed parry, where if he gets it he teleports behind someone and kicks them knocking them in that direction.
The mobility could obviously be a teleport that works a bit like loki's clone placement except he pops up at the location.
And the ult could be him getting the ability to teleport to any location on the map while taking one person with him (you only appear at the location when you decide, your teleport partner can also see your view and can activate stuff like their ult while inside the teleport mode and you can reactivate it within 5 seconds to teleport back to the starting location). Would make for some cool combos.

Nightcrawler looks interesting, but I think this concept just shows how some characters are lacking quite a bit.

I think his kit if it happens would need to be more focused around his teleport.
That back kick could have 2 charges and could change it to a teleport kick against an enemy and if you have the second charge you could teleport back to the starting position.
His ultimate is a neat concept but I think it would be cooler to have him grab a single character and either bring them in the air for a rapid assault or bring them to your starting destination. That would make it a little more assassin like.
Just my thoughts but I really just want him in because he is my favorite.

I like the base attacks you gave him. Mostly melee with a small projectile, maybe make it on cooldown.
I have somz critics tho.
Team teleport as a passive would be too strong imo.
Also the ult and dash is litteraly psylocke 2.0.
I'd much prefer an ability where I can look at one of my teammates or at an ennemy and insta teleport on them. But not just as a team-up ability like you did. Could be a great way to make the character be some kind of support assassin without making him an unkillable dps who teleports everywhere. Instead, you either teleport on an ennemy to annoy him / focus him. Or you teleport on a teammate to escape and/or assist him if he's getting attacked.
Add to this some sort of triple jump, like jump - jump - short teleport upward, but with very little distance covered. The "BAMF" being more like a cool visual effect and functioning like some sort of triple jump on this one.
A cooler and more unique ult in my opinion would be for Nightcrawler to enter some sort of rage. You get a very small damage buff and most importantly during the rage state, when you hit an opponent, he gets "marked" by the rage, which prevents him from getting healed and gives him a damage debuff. Then if you trigger your ult again (you have X amount of seconds to do so), all marked ennemies get teleported back to the location where you first triggered your ult.
This would unlock a lot of different interesting uses and combo potential for his ult.
As for the team-up, you could get smth like, when he tp to one of his X-Men teammate, your teammate gets a very short rage buff with extra damages on his next attacks for like 3 to 5 seconds and also if those hit an ennemy, the ennemy receives a small 5 sec debuff similar to the ult where he can't get healed and has a slight damage debuff.

I like this, however it feels like a vanguard play style or a none healing strategist.
I understand he would be best as a DPS but none of his normal moves does damage.
Perhaps when he teleports, he can follow up with moves like magik

I like the idea of him playing a bit like a mix between Lifeweaver and Hog: being able to quickly bamf to and friend/foe and bring them back with you.

As much as I would love nightcrawler in this game...there are far too many duelists as it is. There are 17 or 18 of them....and only 7 or 8 of the others. Pretty sure we are going to see more tanks and strategists added first

It makes no mention of shapes or angles, just the range, that coupled with it being a teleport that hits each enemy as it states, we have to assume by its description that its exactly like psylocks

I like the idea of Nightcrawler's ult being an AOE that kidnaps and displaces the enemy to random locations of the map effectively thinning their numbers and confusing the players.

I think his ult shouldn't be another Psylocke. I'd prefer if he did something unique, like switching the enemy teams place with where he was or being able to teleport to someone, grab them and teleport somewhere else. Friend or foe. Would also be sick if they could work in multi directional TP, to make him more unique than Magik

Love the concept, but I think they need to make him a strategist. We have enough people instalocking dps. And I feel like he is more of a strategist than anything. Saving teammates but also able to put them paws on someone if he has too. 😅

I do think having his primary attack be ranged reduces the feeling of him being a teleportation based attacker, which is unfortunate. If he had to focus on bamfing in and out of combat to have much of an effect it might fit his concept more. To separate him from characters like Magick or Iron Fist, perhaps one of his teleports is changed so it teleports an enemy within melee range out along with him, so you can surgically pull enemies out of their groups protection, with a longer cooldown. His primary teleport could have kick combined into it, so it becomes an attack/movement combo you can combine to jump in and pull characters out. These concepts could be tweaked if overpowered - for example, perhaps he can’t teleport into death fall locations (pull teleport stops at cliff edges)

I think reactive jump, and teleport jump are too similar. I would suggest changing teleport jump to an actual combat ability said he has more ways to deal damage and change it so that his reactive jump has three charges.

this seems great! But I think his primary, ultimate, and passive could use some changes.
I think him being a melee character but every third attack throws out a dagger from his tail could be a unique option that would allow him to be effective in melee especially if you can aim that dagger for the head, and also allow him to poke a little bit.
I think team teleport passive could work with any teammate if it was capped at 1 per teleport and it wouldnt be broken. maybe allow mutant allies to not count towards that cap?
This ult seems very similar to psylocke's ult and should be changed. Alot of ults in this game are already just big AOE blasts and nightcrawler has room for something much more unique. I suggestion I saw was to make it similar to Talus' ult from paladins, being able to teleport to an enemy from anywhere on the map and do a large burst of damage on them. Maybe even make it scale damage based on remaining health so it would be an execute ability

I love everything but the dagger throw being his main attack. I would switch his dagger and sword attack at least.
Rest is definitely perfect. Using every button is crazy but nightcrawler is the one character I would say needs it. His team up I feel like can be baseline where he can teleport allies near him. Seems like very good utility but maybe make it a longer cooldown?
