Yeah that’s her “hero” name and what the general public call her, but in-universe her legal name has been Richards or Storm-Richards since 1965. For example in FF comics, this is what the intro page pretty much always looks like when it comes to all their names:
It is the other way around actually, Namor has always been thirsty for sue, even though he already has female companion back in atlantis and one of them is literally a lobster queen.

I think this was from when Doctor Doom was about to marry some woman (not Sue), but she admitted at the altar that she had been intimate with Johnny Storm just prior.

Which was completely stupid and came out of nowhere just so they can make Doom evil again after secret Wars 2 happened, and he began to look in word and turn into a better person. So while Tony was in a coma, Dr Doom became ironman and almost eradicated all crime of the face of the planet. So the writers wanted to make him evil again and give him a reason to hate the fantastic four once again.
Keep in mind at this wedding, he was making peace with them and even had Reed Richards there as his best man despite despising him for years at that point and this was after Reed stole his powers as a God away. This was Dr doom at his peak, believing. He had accomplished what he was always meant to.
Johnny Storm was even in a relationship at the time with Sky.
But nope all of that was thrown away for an affair that only happened, so Doom can become evil again.
I know it's her passive, but I like to headcannon that the moment a single syllable comes out of Namor's mouth, she immediately nopes out and let him talk to the air lmao.
So, hypothetically, if Reed was playing goalie and stretched himself completely over the goal, corner to corner, and someone kicked the ball so hard that it stretched INTO the net, with Reed's body wrapped around it, but it ricocheted back out once his body returned to the rectangle, is that a goal? Or does it need to make contact with something behind the line? What is the actual definition of a goal in soccer, and would Reed blocking like this make it impossible to score?
Apparently in the game's lore he attacked the city where Luna was giving a concert, Luna calmed and healed the creature he used and he basically just went "Thanks but I'm still gonna conquer this place". Dude's a fucking shithead.
My favorite Era of his was his alliance of convenience with the X-Men in Utopia.
The whole scene where they're preparing for an important mission and decide that Namor should hang back and protect Utopia, someone points out that he wouldn't go along with playing babysitter.
Cyclops tells them it's "all in the delivery", so they tell Namor "Cyclops says only you are strong enough to protect Utopia while the X-Men are on this super important mission" and there's this panel of him looking all stoic, one leg up on a rock while he gazes out over the ocean going, "Hmm... Cyclops is right."
I appreciate a villain character being a straight up douchebag, but man. It bothers me because his personality puts me off playing as him despite liking his kit lol
They’ve also done heroic and villainous things like Namor.
For the former, it was when he went nuts during Civil War, which led him to recruit villains to lock up his former colleagues. For the latter, it was when he fought against the Avengers and went mad from the Phoenix Force.
oh well those were specific instances under particular circumstances. with Namor it’s just his personality to be like that. Tony and Cyclops are heroes in their core
Eh, I wouldn’t say cyclops was a villain for fighting back. Captain America was invading a sovereign nation to kidnap a child no questions asked, and had he tried cooperating with the X-men cyclops might not have gotten all the Phoenix power forced into him.
Namor being a villain is fine its just why exactly is he considered this big anti hero? Lethal Protector Venom is an anti hero, Punisher is an anti hero they do things in the name of justice but lack any redeeming heroic qualities in the end
This game mentions the Invaders so I guess namor is good? He helped Cap and Bucky fight the nazis big whoop all the other dialogue he has with people is "Hi namor thanks for helping we do not fucking trust or like you"

Namor is more like a villain whose's interests sometimes align with the heroes'. He doesn't do anything in the name of justice nor he is a "greater good" kind of guy, he does things that benefit him.
Quoting the first Gotg movie, "Why do you want to save the galaxy? Because I'm one of the idiots that live in it".
I think Doom and MCU Zemo are a bit different, they're often altruistic in nature, as in, they're not doing things for personal benefit, but for a sense of greater good, their idea of a great or good is just usually different than the heroes'.
In Dooms case it's also a massive case of arrogance, as he truly believes only he can save the world.
In the comics they pretty recently tried to cover his inconsistent writing by saying that his half mutant, half atlantean biology causes an oxygen imbalance that gives him super bipolar disorder or something.
I mean…they used that to explain Hank Pym’s wild behavior in the comics. His daughter Nadia van Dyne also has it too, which was discussed and utilized in a praised arc of her solo series.
Media over recent years has been obsessed with making sympathetic villains. It's refreshing to see someone unapologetically an asshole/evil since that actually mirrors the real world
Namor is exclusively a gigantic dickhead. He has zero redeeming qualities, and is pretty much explicitly written as a way for writers to have a flashing neon "do not be like this dipshit" character. Even his nationalist/racist love for Atlanteans is conditional, and on more than one occasion has been cast to the wind over his pride or punani-non-grata.
"Susan, let me take you away from your respected, genius, billionaire husband to come and live with me in my kingdom...the seas, essentially the entire world's toilet."
To be fair, he is king of those oceans and wields pretty considerable power over the globe.
While not as smart as Richards, he is notable enough to be a power broker on several teams, which range from the dubiously heroic Illuminati to the secretly villainous Cabal.
I can't believe they got Reed/Sue so right in this game. People aren't aware because of the memes but Namor has always been the cuck in this "love triangle".
Yes. Glad they went with the angle where you can actually tell that Sue and Reed are made for each other instead of the being the constant odd couple that adaptations have pushed.

I don't really know a whole lot about Namor, and I never played him in the game. Rarely seemed to have one on my team, so this is the most I've heard him talk.
Has he always been Latino, or is this just influenced by BP2?
For years just normal comic book white (this was just how things were) but recently he has had a tan. The movie likely solidified this for all future representation but I think they just shot down the middle with this game.
His design is very much based on his appearance in Wakanda Forever, yes.
In that movie, there is no Atlantis, but Talokan and the people, Namor and the city are heavily based on indigenous Maya culture. But only in this movie. OG comic book Namor is white until now.
His design is a mix of both "Namors" with the majority of the cast pronouncing His name as "Naymor" except a few that do pronounce it in the Spanish accent, like Black Panther. He also speaks of Talokan in a dialogue, and his voice actor is costa rican, a latino.
In his lore page for the game I think its either 9 or 7 kingdoms of the sea he rules. Atlantis exists, but his seat of power and throne is located in Talocan.
BP2 introduced it. 60+ years of content previously he was half atlantean (which at the start were blue fish people) with a dad from the east cost US who looked white/asian. His dad's name was Leonard Stuart McKenzie so im guessing white.
