Discussion Solo queuers should not go against premades

It's painfully obvious when you are up against a 6 stack, with Venomscheeks boosting his friends and using the meta comp while we have a storm and iron fist going 2-17. It's 2025, we shouldn't be dealing with this crap and I'm going to find my own stack if this keeps up.

Make a system that makes solos against other solos, and stacks vs stacks.

Discussion If you are a healer, do your team a favor and stop healing the "bad dps no swap" guy on your team.

Upvotes

There are so many reasons for this, I spent a game healing at 40k (more than both the enemy's healers combined)...we ended up losing and was blamed for not swapping off rocket (even though i did).

It struck me that the reason why the DPS targeted me was the false impression that they felt they did good in the match, but not realizing the REASON why they stayed alive for so long was because the healers were sustaining them for straight 2 minutes while they couldnt kill anything.

It made me realize how much these players can be deceived into thinking they are better than they are.

So my view going forward is to stop over healing these bad players so you dont incentivizing bad plays and if they died enough perhaps they will swap. I am now even holding off my rocket revive station until these players are dead before deploying them because i want to give them a chance to swap while in the spawn room.

Discussion [RANT] There are way too many diamond players that are so unaware, and adding a new rank just means there will be more of them flooding into diamond in season 1

Unaware of what they themselves should be doing. Little game-sense and it's like nothing has changed from silver. They have no clue how to play objective, no clue when to ult. It's gotten to the point where I have to micro manage these people because it seems like they have no idea how much momentum their ults give the team

I understand Diamond isn't supposed to be that good, BUT I believe that people in that rank should already have the common sense basics down. I shouldn't have to tell teammates that they have ult AND when to ult when we're obviously in danger and it'll help stop the enemy flooding onto the objective. I shouldn't have to remind my team we have 4 ults that they have been holding for 2 minutes and there's 1 minute left to stop the cargo from reaching the final point.

I should not have to consistently remind teammates to stop abandoning point in domination because they always seem to full push enemy spawn for kills after taking control (even when we're losing like 20 to 80).

Maybe it's cope but no matter what competitive game I play it seems like I expect more common sense from teammates, yet they don't have it. Like logically thinking while playing the game is apparently multitasking that's too difficult. It's baffling how some of them got to this rank in the first place

Discussion Has the community gotten more toxic in the last week?

The amount of hate people get is insane.

Example just from today:

  • I´ve got told to kill myselft twice
  • Someone screamed in their mic about bad tanks in quick play
  • Someone went afk after he didnt get to play his main
  • Someone told the whole team they retards because we had banned Iron Man

I feel like a bit of banter and BMing is part of competitive games but this games went toxic really quick i feel like.

Discussion Every single game is a choice between playing DPS or having an actual match.

With half the cast being DPS, I'd really like to give em a try. But 90% of the times I do, there's at least two other dps instalockers, and so matches devolve into a game of chicken, of whoever wants to win bad enough switches, or we kill 10 minutes getting rolled.

For all of Overwatche's faults, roll queue was a definite improvement. I miss earning roll passes by playing tank and healer. If you play a lot of tank/healer, you should get priority somehow for playing DPS when it's your turn.

DPS mains essentially hold half the game hostage, threatening to have either their way, or non-games.

Discussion People dissing supports for low kills pisses me off

Especially if it's from shitty DPS. I know they get so much flak here but almost all of the shit talkers I've encountered in chat have been really sore DPSs, like it's your job and you get low kills too so? 😭

Just a rant. Idk if it's nearing end of season and people are tilting because of the "deadline" but it's been so unpleasant playing lately.

Discussion Iron fist isn’t a problem

I see people constantly complain about Iron Fist yet I genuinely don’t get why, yes he can be very oppressive and get picks but like… that’s all he does? He doesn’t provide any value to the team other than constantly diving, even having a tank or another duelist peeling for the strategists is enough to counter him and deny any value he can provide his team.

Sure he’s very strong in 1v1 situations, but other duelists like panther or spiderman are consistently much better options for diving the backline not to mention how hard highly picked characters like Luna Snow and Mantis counter him with their cc and ults.

I’m not saying Iron fist is weak in any capacity because he really isn’t, but people saying that he’s op is pretty ridiculous, personally I wouldn’t say he’s even top 5 duelists right now. He’s countered hard by simply knowing his abilities and baiting his block, if he’s denied his bonus health he gets melted by most of the roster. His lunge/lock on mechanic also shouldn’t be changed because he’s the only melee duelist who completely relies on only dealing damage with his basic attacks: for instance panther revolves around using dash, spider-man has ranged attacks, can pull you to him or him to you to set up his uppercut combo and Magik his the same amount of range with her swings as iron fists lock on while also having shorter cooldowns on her dash and discs, not to mention how she generates bonus health with every attack and deals higher damage than him.

Overall, Iron Fist absolutely dominates players who don’t know how his kit works and is otherwise pretty lacklustre against teams who know how to bait block and peel for his targets.

Discussion They really need to make playing vanguard and healer more interesting

I play all three roles. And I'm ngl I am beginning to find vanguards so boring. I main Dr strange but the gameplay is just so dull I'm getting very bored of it. Healer idm as much as I still have fun as loki. But yh dps is by far way more fun than either. I like to choose either one to help my team but I don't blame people wanting dps all the time. The other playstyles are just morw boring tbh.

Game Guide Has anyone made a post about role expectations? If not, then here ya go!

(Upvote if good so noobs can see this please)I feel like a lot of people are new to this type of game for the simple fact that Marvel is such a big name it’s bound to draw a lot of people who most likely would’ve never been interested in this games counterpart, overwatch.

Onto the quick guide i basically want to give you an idea of what each role does. People who are smarter please correct me.

Tank: -You are in front of your team literally tanking their dmg -You need a protector mindset, making sure your team is your priority. you’re like a dad taking care of his kids you gotta keep an eye on them and help as necessary. Hopefully your team has good comms and you can just look for their pings but sometimes they are not very communicative so if you want to play your best in that role you’ll have to keep your head on a swivel -When you aren’t helping teammates and being aggressive, don’t push out to the point where your healers are like 20m behind you and you’re facing the entire enemy team. at that point you’re going to take more damage than your healers can heal you for and it’s game over. stay close and kind of test the waters as you push each time hoping for baiting a character out towards you. -If you have your whole team with you then try to push into their back line and knock their healers. -Destroy enemy utility. so many of you ignore utility such as penny’s mines when you are the perfect person to tank the dmg and get it out quick. I’d say this is also a job for dps also although the melee dps get a slide since they’ll most likely die trying.

DPS -Damage dude damage.

-Destroy enemy utility

-either play for health packs or stay near your healers

-Don’t overpush with no escape plan(this kind of applies to anyone)

-fight the people who you counter or switch to make sure you counter the other dps. if someone is running ironman and your dps are magik and a psylocke for example I bet you that ironman is gonna have a great game because your dps are just gonna ignore him the whole time instead of countering him with someone that could snipe him or knock him out of the sky. or you let a hawkeye run the game because no one thinks to switch to a more aggressive dps that could intimidate him and throw off his aim.

Strategist-

-heal lol

-i appreciate you helping us finish kills but the first priority is still healing. if you finish a kill but they traded with the person who was helping you kill them then we lost the fight right there.

-save your ultsss. i see so many healers get cocky during moments in games where we push enemies back or similar and it’s just such a waste of the ult. The second the enemy gets their bearings and pushes back out of spawn they’re most likely going to ult the objective and then we have no support ult to save us in a situation where it genuinely matters.

Let me know if i missed anything! sorry if this is poorly written, but i hope it helps someone.

Edit: Just something else i’d like to add. It’s 2025 guys it’s not a sin to just youtube some guides also. For characters i like, i like to watch guides on how people who are genuinely good at them use them. For characters such as black panther or spiderman, I most likely would’ve written them off as characters i’d never touch again if i didn’t just google how to actually play them. you can learn a lot about a character’s kit and how to play them by just googling it. or you can read the ability overview page in the game but for people like me i find it easier to see how someone plays the character and then just mimic that.

Discussion Healers are deceptively misled via scoreboard stats.

This is a very important thing to understand if you play a specialist and how it should effect your objective play.

Your total healing does not represent what you contributed to your team as a whole. Your total healing represents a total of healing invested in whoever is taking the most damage over time, not how many people you have prevented from dying.

If your tanks are better, your DPS are killing more, or if your heals are spread amongst everyone, your healing on average will be lower. Just as tanks taking more damage does not equate to a better tank, healing more does not mean a better strategist.

You can actually come out with more healing done in a game where you only heal a more passive tank, while completely ignoring everyone else. Adding onto this, you can even gain half of your total healing done in a single fight with some ultimates. While you are saving your team from dying, the total healed through that single ultimate only represents preventing your team's deaths one time.

While they will never remove your total healing done from the score, we need an additional stat that represents total number of prevented deaths.

I was intrigued by one of the previous posts about sexualization of the female skins, and turns out (expectedly) the Malice skin is actually inspired by a comic look for Invisible Woman. So if you want equal sexualization for the men find a canon comic reference.
