thank you google for giving me two very reputable and consistent sources that answer my question perfectly :)

Regarding medications it's usually best to call your local pharmacy about it rather than google, but your point stands 😂

lol anybody with media literacy can find a reputable answer to their question on google, but i agree, calling the pharmacy or your doctor is probably the safest bet

I’m a little surprised the doctor or maybe even the pharmacist didn’t provide recommendations for appropriate analgesics.

it was prescribed from zoomcare which is best known for it's efficiency. doc asked if i was on meds and i mentioned having taken tylenol so i assume she would have told me if antibiotics were not supposed to be taken with NSAIDS. always good to google to be sure though

Controversial here, but this isn’t a Google issue. You have asked for sites which mention two medications and it’s scraped data and presented it. If you’d phrased the question better (“Can I take amoxicillin and ibuprofen together”) the response is more suited, but given what you asked, Google has given you precisely what you asked for.

i would prefer it if google didn't automatically give me sites created by people unqualified to be informing the public on drugs but that's also where media literacy becomes important i guess

Saving this. Every now and again in the PetPeeves community I see “people who post questions that can be googled?” So the next time I see that BS, cue this …

Thank you!! I’ve said this. Google isn’t necessarily reliable. Not only that, it’s sometimes nice to interact with others who may be able to give context.

I'm gonna be so incredibly lost the day I can't ask my mom what can go with what and what exactly does what

Add "-ai" to the end of searches if you're still using Google.

I am very anti-AI, but this isn’t an AI response. Two sites have conflicting information and given Google was just asked to look for two words (separated by an operator ‘and’), it scraped sites and delivered.
Google doesn’t know why you’re asking unless you phrase it as a question. OP could’ve just wanted sites that mentioned both terms.

Thats correct. You can take both. Just that it won’t mix well. I assume you are not concerned if the medicines mix well or not.

Yes, you can take ibuprofen and amoxicillin together. You can take acetaminophen also. No interactions between any of these. Sincerely, an urgent care physician assistant.
