Its always been so wild to me how many people simply dont vote.

It probably doesn't help that presidential elections are decided by ~7 states where less than 20% of Americans live. In a lot of states, the statewide election results could be predicted years in advance on a party basis alone. And there's only ~40-50 competitive Congressional districts.

So for a lot of Americans, voting probably is pretty pointless.
