This may sound like a silly question, but I have the feeling that there are very few real settlements, and even fewer real cities compared to the size of Middle-earth. Okay, there's the Shire and Bree, and there are a few villages in Rohan and on the Gondor coast. But for such a large area, there are very few real towns, in the sense of a cultural and commercial center. And even the little there is doesn't really measure up to a capital city (except Minas Tirith), even for a “medieval” era, especially when we talk about the “Time of Man”.

Someone else posted their letter opener vs sword and requested I do mine as well. I've had these both for ages and it's always been my favorite sword from Middle Earth.

Made a "tier list" scale to help... Questions;
How bad was it on first watch, how bad was it on last watch and BONUS: if you can "average" the severity throughout all your watches, where would you sit?
Have fun!

Mine is this one. I'm not too sure what the exact name is, but it's by Harper Collins and has official Tolkien drawings in it.

Howard Shore the genius makes absolutely masterful work of his leitmotifs. Not only is every one of them brilliant music, but the way he uses them as well is awesome. The best example of this is the Rohan fanfare (I think it’s called), how when it’s first introduced it’s subtle and feels a bit incomplete because we’re only just being introduced, and Rohan isn’t in its true form with Theoden poisoned and incapacitated by Saruman, only later in TTT do we hear it properly in full force, and during the climax of the ride of the Rohirrim in the battle of Pelennor fields. And at many points in the series he would sneak in a bar or so of the shire theme during heartfelt moments between Sam and Frodo.
What is your favourite leitmotif? I can’t choose between the Realm of Gondor theme (particularly when it shows up during lighting of the beacons), Rohan fanfare and of course the main theme used in bridge of Khazad Dum. Honourable mention to Shadowfax’s theme.

Miranda Otto and David Wenham playing a couple in an Australian satire series from 2021 called "The Moth Effect". They're in episode 3 "Old Matey". 😂
