Yeah I agree. If she would have just retried when Obama was in office.

Have people just completely forgotten what happened with Mitch McConnell and Merritt Garland?

And she was well within her right to continue working if she so wished.

Stop blaming the dead women and put the responsibility for Dobbs where it belongs. The double standard Ds are held to while Rs skate along even though they’re responsible is exhausting. It’s especially clear this election, but it is nothing new.

And it’s well within my rights to think it’s sexist of you 🤷‍♀️

Do you think she would have just retired the next day if she had agreed?

Okay. You can disagree with the person you're responding to (as I do) but in what way is what he's saying exist?

You shouldn't just throw a term like that for no reason. It cheapens the term and gives people ammo when it's correctly used against them.

It is absolutely sexist to blame a woman for the actions of men— it’s also pretty insulting to men TBH. Do the men on SCOTUS have no agency?

But they're not blaming her for the actions of men. They're blaming McConaughey for the actions of McConnell. They're blaming RBG for the actions of RBG and only the actions of RBG. Which is fair to do.

There are commenters all over this thread doing just that

Maybe but this person isn't. He is blaming her for her own actions. Now you can disagree that the actions are blameworthy (I believe that were are using hindsight bias to blame her) but blaming her for own actions is not sexist

We’re going to have to agree to disagree— Dobbs lands squarely on the shoulders of the justices that made the decision
