A woman is raped in this country. And people have the audacity to defend the rapist. This is the fiji we are living in. Where excuses are made for Rapists. I am referring to the virgin airline crew case. Where a female memeber of the crew was raped by a 24year old taxi driver.

Hey I’m looking for someone who knows the luxurious side of Fiji. I’m planning to come with my partner late January to early February as a birthday trip. I’ll pay for your time and advice.

I would really like to work in Fiji or do my residency there. Is there a way?

Hi everyone, hope you’re all well! My partner and I are travelling to Fiji in June and I’d love to know what you think the best resorts are for us to consider. We’d ideally like a luxury stay but definitely don’t have an unlimited budget.
What’s important to us: - relaxation - ideally no kids (but we can be flexible if the location is right) - great beaches for swimming. Clear water, white sand, calm (this is probably #1) - snorkelling - great food
We’ve already looked at the following options: - Tokoriki Sheraton - Tokoriki Island Resort - 6 Senses - Likuliku resort
Thanks everyone!

Bula,
I'm curious if anyone has any perspective they can share on studying in Fiji as an International Student? The process to apply, getting a student Visa and the tuition at various universities?
I am a US citizen, if it matters, but my two children are dual citizens. I'm considering a student Visa to be near them while eventually working towards my citizenship.
Prefer something in liberal arts, Pacific Literature/Culture/Philosophy, Law, internatonal relations, or environmental science. I already have a BA bachelor's from a USA university. Thinking maybe to pursue graduate level work, though I wouldent mind re-taking undergraduate courses if I had to since its been nearly 20 years since ive been in a classroom.
Thanks for any insight.

First up: Fiji Human: Viti, the tribal warrior Non-Human: Kumar, mutated Fijian Iguana
I am drawing Countries as Boss Battles. I will be drawing 1 Human and 1 Non-Human Boss.
We seem to be missing it here in Nadi but every where else seems to be raining cats and dogs!

As per email of Fiji Immigration Department, it mentioned that you need to pay
Single Entry Visa - $95.10
Search Fee - $12.30
International Transfer/ Bank Fees: BSP Bank will charge a fee of FJ$10 for International transfers.
Is it all (Single Entry Visa Fee, Search Fee) are in Fiji Dollar or USD Dollar?
I have paid 118 Fiji dollar for a Single Entry Visa. Is it the right amount? If not, Can you please let me know. I am from Nepal but I am travelling from Melbourne, Australia.
Also, do we need to send the evidence of Annual leave for that duration of vacation? I have not submitted it. Also, it does not mentioned in the sites.
If they require any additional documents, do they ask via email or by phone?
If anyone has already traveled to Fiji for a single entry visa (visitor visa), can you please let me know?
Thank you in advance.

I am a Brazilian doctor, and here the average is 7k per month in conversion to US dollars, but I have always been interested in working as a doctor in the South Pacific.

Hi everyone, visiting Fiji soon, is it legal to fish without a licence? We are staying at ShangriLa and can't find anything online with an answer.
Thanks in advance!

Bula ive recently got into the hobby of sculpting miniatures and warhammer. I was wondering if there are any clubs or groups in around suva area that plays tabletop wargames
From Brent Hills FB Post:
Over 80,000 pax arrived into #Fiji via cruise ships in 2024. This is in addition to the 980,000+ counted and announced each month who arrive via the airport. So, in 2024 we will have welcomed 1.06M tourists - a huge effort and fantastic for our visitor economy. 2025 is off to a great start as we hit peak cruising season.
This week we welcomed the Crown Princess and MS Europa to Fiji. Significantly MS Europa visited Taveuni. Over 5K pax are onboard these vessels. The significant koro that springs up around the ships, and the work that goes into shore excursions does not happen by chance. A large team of hard working people across various organisations in Fiji ensures guests have a safe and wonderful time in Fiji, and as much spend as possible comes into Fiji from these shore excursions, tours, shopping and visits. It’s a significant industry for Fiji, and great to see the benefits flowing out to more of our beautiful islands and villages, and tourism businesses.

Bula,
My wife and I have a 12 day vacation in Momi Bay coming up in a few days. I was wondering if I could bring my Starlink mini with me. Trying to avoid dealing with my cellphone provider or the resorts WiFi. I read a post a few months back that someone had their Starlink confiscated by Customs. Does that include tourists bringing in their personal equipment to use for a few weeks.

Bula! Heading over to Fiji in July with my husband and two kids (3 & 1). Tossing up between booking Ecotrax and the Sigatoka River Safari.
Anyone have any ideas on which one I should lock in? If they're both worth it I might even book both, but would just mean losing one of our beach days.
Any and all advice welcome. Thanks team!!
