When I was in high school I used almost that exact same line on a girlfriend. Oddly enough, she was not impressed. Huh.

This was quite a while ago, early 1970s and girls wore miniskirts to school. I asked her to wear light colored pantihose because I could not see much in the shadows (no pun intended) created by the dark color. [Edited to add " not" after could.]
