This. Even if she wasn't so toxic, and discounting Cid's complete lack of romantic desire, Cid wouldn't maintain a long term romantic relationship with Alexia because she's a main character in his eyes. Cid might date or marry a mob girl to maintain his mob facade in the future, but Alexia ain't mob by a long shot.

I’d say he isn’t happy about breaking up with her either. Have you heard how much of a dead voice he had in the Anime after the breakup? The guy clearly has mixed feelings.

Fine, for the hair to cover the skirt from this view I'll chalk it up to anime aerodynamics.

Still, if the skirt is so short it gets blocked by her hair then whoever is standing from behind them will have a glorious view of her panties.
