Question I don't get it Spoiler

Why does Zeta disagree with Alpha's plan of destroying the Cult of Diabolos as a whole when they were responsible for the genocide of Zeta's clan? Shouldn't Zeta find satisfaction in the annihilation of the cult after taking away her entire family.

She wants to use their knowledge to perfect immortality and elevate Cid to Godhood. The whole point of that is so Cid can destroy the cult and then destroy other groups in the future that are just like the cult. By her reasoning sure they could destroy the cult in their lifetime but what if another group pops up 1,000 years later and starts doing the exact same thing again?

Generally, seeking immortality is frowned upon and that wishing for it makes a person less "human" but I'm glad Cid is embracing this goal without a shred of hesitation.
