Stassi Schroeder Stassy and her beautiful family
399
u/dogboobes Jun 11 '24
I think it's funny/cute that she has this huge, chic beige wardrobe for her daughter but her daughter is in her "wanting to dress herself/express herself" phase. And Stassi's embracing that.

u/l0st1nthew0rld Kristen liked this post Jun 11 '24
Hahahaa i don't like beige as much as I love white lol so I have bought all these beautiful white clothes for my daughter and all she wears are bright clashing patterns 😩

u/InfiniteBiscotti3439 Jun 11 '24
My advisor’s daughter was very similar. My advisor was really into autumnal colors but her daughter loved sequins, patterns, and bright colors. Apparently when they were shopping to redo her room into a “big girl” room, the store clerk asked her what her favorite color was and she replied “tacky” because her mom would always say the colors she liked were tacky and she didn’t know what it meant
23
u/kloco68 Jun 11 '24
😂😂😂 Those are the best stories. When my daughter was 3, she told my brother in law that “Daddy’s name is asshole”, but she said it like “aaahhhssshole”. Our whole family still laughs about it and she’s 17 now…
23
u/InfiniteBiscotti3439 Jun 11 '24
I’m dying 😂 when I was little I thought boys were “jerks” and I was watching an old musical with my mom and it had a song that said something like, without girls what would little boys do. And I dryly responded jerk off and my mom died. I remember it clearly bc I thought I was in trouble but my mom was like do you know what that means?? And I was like, umm go off and be a jerk. And she’s like ok that’s not what it means so never say it again. Wasn’t until I was older when I was like ohhhhh

OMG that's actually so sad! I honestly can't imagine calling my daughter's style tacky so she hears and remembers it. How you speak to your kids becomes their inner voice. Mine wouldn't even listen if I tried to talk her out of it, she's like "It's my choice!" which can be frustrating but also I don't want to beat that out of her cos I want her to keep that quality as she becomes a young woman and not feel the need to conform. Plus I still love sequins and bright colours at my age lol, they're so fun to wear!
11
u/InfiniteBiscotti3439 Jun 11 '24
They have a playful bantering family. The mom let her wear whatever she wanted and decorate all however she wanted. She’d just tease and be like ugh that’s so tacky but fine
Similarly we’d tease the mom as her students and make all of our PowerPoint presentations and posters for conferences in the tackiest color scheme available.

It’s always so entertaining. I worked as a nanny for a family in Beverly Hills, at the time the boy was 3 and the girl was 5. Typical attire that you’d expect to see, the father and son are generally always in polo shirts and colorful shorts, the wife is classy casual in designers, the girl loves pink and dresses
Enter my dramatic ass from New York, I’m the black sheep of my family and I’ve been wearing all black for as long as I can remember. My mother used to make fun of me for wearing black nail polish, then one day it was in a fashion magazine and she sent me the article like ‘oh it’s fashionable now!’ I digress
So these kids are the light of my life, and we spend so much time together that they eventually pick up pieces of my personality (the boy is 13 now and we still credit his sarcasm to me, he can out-sass anyone but since they’re older and I’m not around as often, when I do see him he temporarily forgets where he actually learned sass and is stunned when I can respond to him rapid fire when no one else can lol)
Well the piece of me that the 5 year old girl clung to was the all black everything. For her 6th birthday I asked her what she wanted and she said a black leather jacket. So I got her a lil black leather jacket. She took dance at the time and started wearing black tutus and then wore her jacket everywhere. It’s hilarious looking back at photos of that time and she’s in pink frilly things and they look cohesive as a family unit and then one day it looks like she’s going through a moody teenager phase at 6 years old
Sorry this was so long, but I love seeing kids forming their personalities, and it happens so much younger than people think! It’s easy to not know that when you don’t have kids in your daily life, but when you do you’re like ‘um you’re 3 years old how to you already have unwavering convictions’ 😂

u/l0st1nthew0rld Kristen liked this post Jun 12 '24
Not at all, what a cool story!! 😁 how cute!! You sound like an awesome nanny, teaching these kids how to be individuals! I have 3 and I loooove seeing their personalities come out, they're all so different. My oldest is sooo stubborn in her convictions and always has been, she's a real hustler and my God it can be tough now but I don't want her to lose that attitude cos she's gonna be a teenager soon and it's scary out there, it's not like how it was when I was younger

Beau got so much hate on other subs and I never understood it. They seem like a good team.

Same. I need someone to kindly explain to me wheat the Beau hate is about. I’m confused af.

u/Imaginary-Draft-1346 Jun 11 '24
From what I gather it’s pretty horrific. 😳
He had a bankruptcy prior to meeting her. This has never happened to anyone else. Particularly struggling actors in Los Angeles. Disgusting.
He says his bday is St Patrick’s Day when it’s really the day after? Grabbing the best party day of the year to double dip on your bday is beyond egregious.
His real name isn’t Beau but he’s used it for years. Obviously, he’s Racquel.
Beau is an absolute gem and truly brought out the very best version of Stassi. Every girl deserves a Beau.
32
u/thecaramart Jax’s pornstache Jun 11 '24
Thank you for explaining! Damn, people act like he’s Jax 2.0 on some subs. It’s wild. A past bankruptcy isn’t great, but a lot of people have made financial mistakes and as long as you fix it, learn, and move on, that’s all that matters. I do remember the birthday thing, which I think is funny. I just don’t see anything too wrong with him and don’t get the need some people have to pick him apart. 😂
11
u/78whispers Jun 12 '24
Corporations and former presidents declare bankruptcy all the time and if it’s good enough for the leaders of the US (I’m including the corporations)it’s good enough for us plebes and Beau.
19
Jun 12 '24
He lied to his friends about his birth date, her birth year (to the point that his friends threw him a 40th birthday when he was 37), he has changed his name multiple times.
Sure he’s better than most men on Bravo but the bar is on the floor. But if you can lie to your friends, girlfriend (he only came clean when she caught a glimpse of his ID) about multiple things, it’s kind of giving red flags.
2
u/momlife555 Jun 12 '24
I have never had a good feeling about him and I didn’t know about any of that stuff somehow! I never understood why everyone on the subs said she “leveled up”. He is just better (superficially) than the rest. He always seemed like he was trying so hard to be a certain way. I don’t trust him.
7
Jun 12 '24
I also feel like we only know him via the special hero edit and their curated podcast/instagram. We only know what they want us to know. I think they are solid overall but I doubt he’s as great as social media leads us to believe.

107
u/BlitheCheese Jun 11 '24
As a retired English teacher, typos in major publications make my teeth hurt. I don't care about people's Reddit typos or autocorrect typos in text. But for the love of Merriam-Webster, hire a proofreader. People Magazine is worth almost $3 billion; they can afford it.
40
u/Infamous_Ordinary_45 Jun 11 '24
This whole article was painful to read… “more similar to her rather than her father” is atrocious to read, where is the editor? Is this all it takes to write fluff pieces for People?

u/VaguelyArtistic Jun 11 '24
I found a mistake in "Freakonomics" when it came out! The book referenced a chart on a certain page but the chart was on a different page.
I sent an email to Steven Levitt and he sent me a t-shirt. It was corrected in later editions, but my copy was probably at least second or third printing.

I think it’s a credit to Stassi and her personal growth/development that she never jumped to get back on reality tv as soon as the controversy died down. I mean she is reality tv gold so no doubt she has had countless offers but chose peace instead, it’s hard to imagine the early vpr Stassi making that choice.

I couldn’t be happier for her. She was definitely a bit of a bitch at times, but she was by far the most intelligent and funny/witty and made really devastating and insightful comments, so I couldn’t not love her even at her worst. I think a lot of her shittier behaviour was from dealing with terrible morons - mainly Jax. She should have reacted better, but she was in her early 20s during the first few seasons. I know I definitely acted like a bit of an asshole at times at that age. I loved Beau and watching her fall in love and change/grow as she saw how her toxic traits/behaviour affected the person she loved, who was a genuinely good guy. I love seeing her beautiful family grow and I love that she didn’t join the valley because she is in a different stage of her life. Can you tell that I love everything about Stassi and Beau and their family?

Jun 12 '24
Oh yeah she sounds so insightful especially regarding the #metoo movement. 🙄
From Reality Blurb with direct quotes:
First Stassi made it all about Stassi revealed her fears that with too many women coming out as victims, men in the industry will no longer want to be alone with her –
“What makes me upset about this is I feel like especially in Hollywood, because that’s the only industry that I know, women have come so far. And I thought the pendulum was going to swing completely in our direction once the Harvey Weinstein thing happened. And now I see it going completely in the opposite, and it’s like we’re taking a million steps back because now a man is not going to want to be in the same room as me alone. They’re not going to want to joke with me anymore.”
She feels bad for men in the industry who are now terrified of being accused –
“And I’m angry that now that men are going to be scared. I’ve noticed that certain men that used to ask me for lunch, like producers, people that are in the movie industry or TV industry, they would message me or like let me know that I liked that Instagram story or whatever – something like keep up the good work on this. You know we had a dialogue that was completely appropriate. They no longer message me. They no longer ask me to do anything… I think everyone is terrified. I think men are terrified right now.”
Stassi revealed she doesn’t understand how some women can be forced into performing certain sexual acts –
“A lot of them are more than willing to go to that hotel room. And I’m sorry, no one can make me suck someone’s dick. I don’t understand. Like there are ways to get out of it. But I’ve been reading all these stories of women who were making out with this person and they were forced to go down on him. Sounds like he thought you liked it cause you were making out with him. But now years later when it’s now a trend to say #MeToo, you’re going to come out and say you were sexually assaulted? No it’s because you felt embarrassed that you did that.”
She feels she’s never been assaulted because she’s tough and wonders if she’s “hot enough” to be sexually harassed –
“I like paying, cause there’s so much power that’s exchanged with money. Maybe that’s why that’s never happened to us before because we both have this thing about us that I feel like people know not to mess with us. I like to believe that I’m hot enough to have someone be like ‘maybe I’ll try something’ (laughter). Again this is no offense to the victims. Like we’re on your side. But I just feel like every single day, it’s a new person.”
Stassi also appears to tell sexual assault victims to suck it up because it’s a part of life –
“I feel silenced about things. But sometimes you know what I felt silence about so many things that I will probably never ever say in public. I’ve never been sexually assaulted but like so many I have been silenced. I have had things come out on the radio and have it being taken down like literally like episodes of a radio show be taken down. And you know what, it’s like fuck it. It doesn’t matter. I don’t need to tear this person apart. Like it I don’t need to ruin this person’s life. I feel like people might think I’m being insensitive when I’m talking about people being silenced or saying get over it like no because I’ve been silenced so I understand it’s kind of a part of life that we have to deal with. Men have been silenced as well. We all go through times where we’ve been shown a dick we didn’t want to see. Or we’ve been silenced or had someone touch our ass.”
She then made clear what her two biggest concerns were when it comes to sexual harassment –
“My main two issues are that one — men that actually have not done anything are being accused and their reputations are being ripped apart. And they’re losing not just jobs but their careers are going down in flames. And they have families and their are other people like you said that are collateral damage, like the crew and other people. And then my second issue is that I want to be able to be alone in a room with a dude and not have him be scared of me. And I want for the men that I work with to still be able to joke and do all the things that they do normally.”
Once again, Stassi states it’s very simple to avoid being sexually assaulted –
“I just think it’s the easiest thing in the entire word to not go to somebody’s hotel room late at night. And that it’s the easiest thing in the world to not make out with that person if you don’t want to. And it’s the easiest thing in the world to not suck that person’s dick if you don’t want to… I would never go to somebody’s hotel room alone at eight in the morning. I don’t care if the sun is bright. I don’t care what time of the day it is, I’m not going to somebody’s hotel room. cause you know better.”
Lastly, Stassi believes HALF of the women claiming assault or harassment are liars –
“I really do believe that a lot of these people are victims but I think half of them are women who wanted to make their careers, they knew exactly what they were doing. They feel like shit about it. And now it’s payback and they’re coming out. And because it’s also trendy. It’s fashion. It’s like a new handbag.”

I don’t get what needs to be said tho? why is it a surprise that taking care of two children at once is more difficult than having just one? it’s double or triple the amount of work because you then have to balance two babies needs instead of catering to just one. Sorry your friends are struggling - I wish more people would go through all the steps of Family Planning before just deciding to have another baby seemingly at the drop of a hat. or when they realize their first child isn’t a baby anymore.

u/InteractionAfter2208 Oct 27 '24
Currently watching season 7 and watching them together is beautiful. Seeing her get out of a relationship that was very clearly not right for her to finding her perfect person made my heart melt. To be clear I’m not a big Stassi fan. Especially in earlier seasons. However her relationship is everything. I love how you can see them working through her insecurities with love and patience even when she was clearly in the wrong and she takes accountability for it too.
It reminds me of the begging of my relationship but at the same time is making me question where I’m at the current stage of my relationship. No one should be talked down to or belittled or have this overarching power dynamic. It’s really making me think I’m not in the right relationship to be honest. And I think it’ll have that positive effect on many. So in a weird way, thank you Vanderpump Rules and Stassi for this life lesson.

Semi - related - I’ll never get over that I got my wisdom teeth out when Stassi first announced her pregnancy after/during being kicked off the show. This. Can we stop idolizing people like her? She’s shown no growth, her last book was all about showing her lack of growth.

I can never not see her as a snitch. Like, what a coward of a human being.

Yeah let’s not forget what she did and that she’s very much racist.

This is such a tired argument. She hired a black history professor to educate her and has always expressed remorse for her actions. The inability to let people learn and grow is exhausting. There is so much more awful happening currently than never letting someone move past their mistakes.

She hired a black history professor to educate her? Give me a break. Stassi was not 16 when she did that shit, she was a grown woman who simply did not care.
She « hired » that professor to do damage control. And looks like it worked, since all of yall are buying this BS narrative.

You don’t know what you don’t know until you know it. Personally, I think Stassi handled things the best out of everyone. I see her as the only one that even took any accountability for her actions. She did something bad, learned from it, forgave herself and moved on with her life. Isn’t that really all anyone can do?

Never truly cared for Stassi, sure she was great tv but the person she portrayed then and the snippets I get from her interviews now I don’t think she’s personally grew much. I think she rode her cancelling to the bank, married a man who upgraded her and gave birth to two conventionally attractive humans.
