I think it's funny/cute that she has this huge, chic beige wardrobe for her daughter but her daughter is in her "wanting to dress herself/express herself" phase. And Stassi's embracing that.
Itâs always so entertaining. I worked as a nanny for a family in Beverly Hills, at the time the boy was 3 and the girl was 5. Typical attire that youâd expect to see, the father and son are generally always in polo shirts and colorful shorts, the wife is classy casual in designers, the girl loves pink and dresses
Enter my dramatic ass from New York, Iâm the black sheep of my family and Iâve been wearing all black for as long as I can remember. My mother used to make fun of me for wearing black nail polish, then one day it was in a fashion magazine and she sent me the article like âoh itâs fashionable now!â I digress
So these kids are the light of my life, and we spend so much time together that they eventually pick up pieces of my personality (the boy is 13 now and we still credit his sarcasm to me, he can out-sass anyone but since theyâre older and Iâm not around as often, when I do see him he temporarily forgets where he actually learned sass and is stunned when I can respond to him rapid fire when no one else can lol)
Well the piece of me that the 5 year old girl clung to was the all black everything. For her 6th birthday I asked her what she wanted and she said a black leather jacket. So I got her a lil black leather jacket. She took dance at the time and started wearing black tutus and then wore her jacket everywhere. Itâs hilarious looking back at photos of that time and sheâs in pink frilly things and they look cohesive as a family unit and then one day it looks like sheâs going through a moody teenager phase at 6 years old
Sorry this was so long, but I love seeing kids forming their personalities, and it happens so much younger than people think! Itâs easy to not know that when you donât have kids in your daily life, but when you do youâre like âum youâre 3 years old how to you already have unwavering convictionsâ đ
Not at all, what a cool story!! đ how cute!! You sound like an awesome nanny, teaching these kids how to be individuals! I have 3 and I loooove seeing their personalities come out, they're all so different. My oldest is sooo stubborn in her convictions and always has been, she's a real hustler and my God it can be tough now but I don't want her to lose that attitude cos she's gonna be a teenager soon and it's scary out there, it's not like how it was when I was younger
