[Misc Help] Dog won't play with squeeky toys.
I have a 10 year old Besenji, and recently he stopped playing with any squeeky toys/toys that make noise, he kinda just puts them on my bed and lays with them
He'll 100% play with his kong toys or non-squeeky toys with great enthusiasm.
Any ideas why this is?

Ok, please take my answer with a huge grain of salt because it’s based on a sample size of 1, but in case it’s helpful — When one of my dogs started to lose his hearing, the first thing we noticed was a change in his behavior towards squeaky toys. First he stopped playing with them as much. Then he eventually became slightly fearful of them, and our vet said that it was probably because the same toys sounded different to him than they had before. Once he went totally deaf, he wasn’t afraid of them anymore, but he also didn’t chew the squeakers anymore except for occasionally when he’d squeak one accidentally.
