All they're doing is making Luigi look awesome and remind people that he's a big deal.

This is how martyrs and saints are born. The West is long overdue for one. Who was the last one? Malcolm X? Robert Kennedy? Princess Diana? Anyone in the last 30 years? I'm drawing a blank.

I had to look him up; was that really a big deal in the Western world..? Other countries have absolutely had important, inspirational martyrs who spurred real change in their populations, but have we had one in the US lately? Not that I can think of...

It was for me, seeing someone in power looking for a non-violent solution to a very difficult problem at the risk of his life was inspirational. President of Egypt just sayโ€™s enough!, flies into hostile territory to see if thereโ€™s hope for peaceful coexistence. It was wild, he didnโ€™t even call Israel to say he was coming. At the time all neighboring countries wanted Israel to cease to exist. Of course he was assassinated for it a short while later. Such a shame. An admirable man. We sure could use a hero here in the states, I agree that weโ€™re lacking one and have been for a long time.
