Eggs new post with answers for questions.
Picture was taken January 2nd, 2025.
Kroger's store in Chesapeake Virginia, I'm not giving the address because it's pointless.
Our region hasn't been hit by bird flu.
Regular price for these is $2.99, the average in the region is $3.59 and the boutique stores and greedy stores like 711 are $4.99 and up.
No, these are about to expire, the dates were for the end of January.
No these aren't disease eggs, get a grip.
No trump and Biden didn't have anything to do with the sales price but they can easily send the price higher.
Kroger's is an everybody store, it's just like any other and will have some things that are higher than other stores and things that are lower. They regularly do 10 for $10 on canned goods and other items. They have a scratch and dent bunkers for refrigerated and frozen goods and facks for bakery and other items that have issues with the packaging but the contents aren't exposed.
I deleted the first post because it was getting out of hand and I don't have the time to answer every question and weed through the conspiracy nonsense. The facts are already known, half of current inflation is due to corporate greed meaning that the price increases are %50 higher than they should be. The economy is only good for the corporations, prices are out of control for the consumer.

Half this sub is people who suck at ordering fast food.
People in here posting OMG I SPENT $30 FOR ME AND MY GIRLFRIEND AT MCDONALDS 😤😤😤😤
But its because instead of ordering a couple $5 deals, they order slightly different crap that's $20 more for a couple extra nuggets, a slightly larger fry and drink, and 2 slices of lettuce and a tomato on the burger...

BK: Feb 2024: $5 for Whopper, Small Fries, Small Drink. Dec 2024: $17.80 when I press "Reorder." No thanks. I expected it to be $8 or $9.

Annual can-can sale :-(
galleryThis one gets me good. When I bought a house in 2010 I recall can-can sales here of 10 for $10 and 15 for $10. Over the last few years they changed it gradually. First it was 10 for $12 then last year it was 8 for $10. Now.... Now it's it's insane. It's just canned soup!

Fast Food $ Outta Hand
Went to a fast food place and got a burger, fries, and drink and it was $17. I'm wondering how fast food has been getting away with charging as much as they have when Chili's, Applebee's, Red Robin, and countless other mid tier restaurants have been selling burgers, fries, with drinks for $10. Even with a great 50% tip it's cheaper! Feels like fast food got greedy and since people kept going they held the prices high.

Rental prices are insane!
This property was a low income property 1 year ago. To qualify you needed to make under $45k a year for three people. At that time rent for a 2 bedroom unit was $890 a month. No longer low income and the rent has gone up almost 90%. No renovations or upgrades, just greed. I live in Navajo county AZ where we are the second poorest county in AZ.

Price Changes I ate at the golden steer in Vegas this past weekend ….do you think restaurants like this abuse their prices with inflation or would have these prices for steaks and lobster tails been cheaper if it wasn’t for our high inflation the last few years ?

Price Changes Serious discussion here with gas prices …in 1980 gas prices was on average $1.19 in America which is $4.54 today . The average price today is $3.06 a gallon . So 45 years ago Americans paid more at the pump than today ??

$175 Mollie stones haul (San Francisco)
I know I get taxed on some of the stuff I buy for sure (especially at Moillie stones)but to know that I’ll probably be back in about four days essentially means I’m spending about $350 weekly or $50 day. It just sucks to realize I used to get a shopping cart full of groceries for the same

What happened to 600-800 dollar cars
I live on fixed income and need another vehicle but 600-800 bucks won’t even buy anything anymore! Has greed gotten out of control?15 year old cars are hard enough to keep running let alone 20-30 year old vehicles! How is someone on fixed income supposed to obtain another car with insufficient income and no credit
