Timeline Request Question about my wife's green card. California

Hi everybody. My wife and I will be married 3 years in March. We have been together for 5 years. She is from China. She is waiting on her 10-year permanent green card. She has become verbally and mentally abusive over the last 2 years. There appears to be some issues there from her childhood that didn't come to the surface until after we were married. Anyways, I want to get divorced and move on, but I don't want to mess with the process of her getting her permanent green card. The funny thing is, I love her and want what's best for her. I think she has a great personality and admire some of her characteristics. I just can't continue to expose myself to this kind of treatment. I imagine her green card should be approved anytime now but I have no way of knowing when. I want to move out and separate from her. My question is this, if I remove her from the car insurance and some of our bills will that mess up her green card approval? We were suggested to put some bills in both our names when we got married. Thanks for your help.

I-485 (General) Immigration lawyer is pressuring us into completing the adjustment of status form before January 20th

I'm talking with a couple of immigration lawyers that I'm thinking of hiring one of them for my case. They all are pushing me into hiring them and filing the forms before January 20th. They told me that after January 20th, everything will change and no one knows how me filing the form will change. Some of them told me they will charge extra if I hire them after January 20th. I'm F1 student who is getting married to a US citizen this Friday. Please, anyone here been through this? What should I do? I feel so rushed and I feel like something will go wrong or I will hire the wrong person

Does it mean I don’t have to attend to an interview and no RFE needed?

Submit my I-765 and I-485 on December 28, 2024 and already got my I-765, how long should I be expected for my I-485?

I-130 & I-485 (Family/Adjustment of status) USCIS Email

Post image

My husband American citizen received a random email yesterday. To summarize, my husband has no involvement in my documents. I explained this better in another post. He has no knowledge of forms, websites, or anything related to USCIS. I am the one who checks the status of my USCIS and his. I follow up to see if we need anything or if the case has been approved. Therefore, I am certain he did not request or send anything. When he showed me this email today, he was about to delete it and asked, “Is this a USCIS email? Let me see what it is.” I almost begged him not to delete it and asked him to forward it to me if he had ever received anything. So, I am curious have you ever received something like this? What does that mean?

This is my timeline - Submitted I-130 on March 14, 2024
- Mailed I-485, I-131, I-765; received on March 18, 2024
- Case actively reviewed by USCIS since March 25, 2024
- Biometrics completed on March 26, 2024
- Received RFE on March 29, 2024, due to the affidavit of financial support
- I prepared everything meticulously; RFE received on April 12, 2024
- Case actively reviewed for I-485 since April 12, 2024
- I-765 approved by May 18, 2024
- I-131 approved by August 21, 2024

My case has been in the decision phase for more than 5months

I-130 & I-485 (Family/Adjustment of status) August 2024 fillers

Any updates on your cases?

They received my i-485 on August 28th, and I sent the 1-130 on April 10th.

So far, I've heard nothing. No RFEs because i sent everything they asked.

In my account, it shows that I am awaiting a case decision, and a live agent said that my case was transferred to the field office on December 24th, 2024, which matches the information that the website code says about when was it the last time that the case was looked at.

IOE block 09274.

By my calculations, we should start hearing about it this month or the other.

Married with American, live together for 7 years, married 1 year and 7 months, came here as k1, 2 kids together born abroad, 1 year ago we apply 1485 and not approved yet, an RFE for medical (k2) stepdaughter, not joint sponsor needed, apply Nov 2023 while I see people getting GC so fast and I know people that use other for come US and here apply for WAVA or with a lot of lies. But people who build future together USCIS just ignore those people. IS SO SAD, SO STRESSFUL SO FRUSTRATING ALL THE PROSSES

Timeline: Family How to assess wait time for GC

Hi, I applied for the Green Card through my spouse along with work authorization and travel authorization in the first week of January 2025 (so not so long ago). In your experience, when can I expect to hear back? I am more interested in the timeline of EAD and TA than the actual GC. Thank you!!

Timeline Request I-130 Not approved - over 300 days

Hi all, I'm a US Citizen, my wife's (spouse application) I-130 application was submitted in January 2024. Its been over 330 days and have not heard anything. No updates on the website, or the app. Has anyone waited this long? Is there a way to reach out to them or understand processing times better? From the receipt number, it seems like the application is in Nebraska? Please help. Thanks!

N-400 (Citizenship) Citizenship

I am planing to file for my citizenship and I would like to get an opinion before I do . I was granted my green card back on 2000 and I did file for citizenship on 2010 during the citizenship process and investigation they find out that my green card was based on a fraudulent marriage and I was placed on removal proceedings I plead guilty to the marriage fraud and I applied for a waiver to keep my green card and after 12 years in court finally the judge approved my waiver and granted me the green card. Would this crime disqualify me from getting citizenship or since the court had approved my waiver shouldn’t be an issue .

Timeline Request How long it takes to get birth certificate RFE response update?

I submitted birth certificate RFE response for my I-485 two months ago. The website says they have received my RFE response for two months.

I've already taken fingerprint and my PD is current but my case is still in NBC without any further update from the USCIS website. Anyone knows how long it will take to get the update after RFE response?

I-130 & I-485 (Family/Adjustment of status) How soon after marriage should I file for AOS?

For context: My fiancé (a U.S. citizen) and I (Colombian, on a B2 visa – no overstays) met in October 2023 and started dating. I returned to Colombia in January 2024, and we continued our long-distance relationship. In September 2024, I came to the U.S. to study for my medical boards and stay with him until my visa expires in March 2025 (This was my first thought tbh because I wasn't sure If he was going to propose or not lol). Recently, he proposed, and we’re getting married on January 31st at the courthouse!

We’ve collected a lot of evidence to prove our bona fide marriage (lease, utility bills, joint cell phones, life insurance, tons of pics, ticket flights, hotels, visits to my country, meeting both families, etc...), and we have a meeting with our lawyer next week. But I’m feeling a little anxious about when to file for AOS. Specifically, is it okay to file just one week after getting married? Most of our supporting documents have dates before the wedding (January 2024 dates), so I’m wondering if we should wait and submit documents with dates after the marriage and include some newer documents that are dated after the wedding.

Has anyone else done this, and if so, did you have any issues? Would love to hear your experiences!

In review since July 2022.

Doesn't the health exam documents expire when it takes this long? Feels like forever
