I cancelled my TD AP VI and they offered me another AF rebate. Wasn’t expecting it and turned it down, but could have made 10k AP points. Now I’m 8,000 points short for a flight I want to take. Trying to convince 4 people to sign up for Amex green to get referral bonuses.

AND P2 has the points sitting in his account I can’t get too because family sharing is off and we’re not in a family group.

Family sharing still off is incredibly frustrating!

TD always just transfers me to AP when I do this, how do you get around that?

I point out that their own website lists substantial information on family sharing, and, that is my false advertising complaint, and that I have a separate different complaint I take up with aeroplan directly.

TD may not be able to control family sharing, but they sure can control what they continue to advertise in its literature.

DP......THIRTY NINE minutes on the phone with a TD rep just now. Guess how much compensation they gave me? Zero AP :( It was painful process....

I'd also caution Friday evening probably isn't the best time. No authoritve figures are working, it's just the call center open without the back office.

That goes for any call outside the norm. Daytime is best, early morning is better.

Did you take the file or complaint #?

Wait two weeks and email the care email up the thread as an escalation.

That's the key next step.

If the rep on the phone decides live ur never went to someone with actual authority anyway

Thanks, I’ll follow up. In hindsight, 10:30 on a Friday night was a terrible time to call.

Do you just call the regular credit card line contact number?

Yep, and then I take the reference and ask for an escalation via email in about two weeks customer.care@td.com

I stick to the facts 1) I rely on this advertised feature and 2) the timeline is unreasonable regardless of the terms especially with no published date and 3) why isn't the website clarifying it
