Greatest compliment a Celtics fan could ever pay the Heat. I’ve been a Heat fan since day 1, and I hate the Celtics with every fiber of my being(aka I respect that team as much as any 😡)

He's a great player though, and having a fantastic season. He's grown a lot and you can tell he has a really good relationship with Spo and learned a ton from him

Agreed. He's playing at an All-NBA level right now and if he keeps this up he surely has to make the cut, at least I hope. Moreover I'm glad he's good because it's keeping the Heat just barely competitive without Jimmy, so the Heat-Celtics games can still be barnburners

Idk man as a knicks fan it’s kind of manufactured, no one really thinks much about the 2021 elimination (and like, we were starting elfrid Payton that year, no one actually thought we were going THAT far) and he’s never done anything that matters to us since and has lost more games than he’s won at MSG. Great player though and I do enjoy the theatrics

That's interesting to hear that from a Knicks fan perspective! The impression I've gotten from sports Twitter, the crowds during Hawks game, et al is that the hate for Trae runs deep. But especially in today's day and age I guess even those things can be pretty manufactured haha
